I joined my slot car racing sets trying to keep their original layout... difficult but possible !! I have other sets, not included in this video... so there's more to come ..! Hope you enjoy it....
There were 3 boys in my family and we always got Tyco race track sets for birthdays and Easter and Christmas. My older brother would hook them up like this all the time. We came home one day to find firemen just finishing up putting out a fire that had destroyed the entire second floor of our home where all of slot car tracks and our bedrooms were. I haven't played with a slot car since then. Thanks for making me feel like a kid again. :-)
Still have two of my "old" Tyco sets from the 80's..one is Computer Racing 500 which I purchased from Costco around 1985..box has never been opened up..been thinking of doing a Le Mans track downstairs with both sets this summer...never too old to be a kid again.
Congratulations for the video. As a child I had the road & rail and is really a great achievement that you keep the original two cars, red and green. What beautiful memories. Greetings from Santiago, Chile.
Vary Cool! but you still had leftover pieces. LOL... Awesome Layout. Hmm... I have five slot car sets on Craigslist for sale right now. This just renewed my interest. They are no longer for sale. Thanks for the video!
Hi everybody ! Thanks to all for the congrats ! It is really a hobby! It is HO scale "amigo" 1:87 I took 2 AC powers one on full and the other with just a little trigger (you can see it in 4:40 right next to the loop), and with that I could avoid the little imperfections from the old tracks. The first day I assembled it, it ran good without that 2nd power, but this second day, because it was in the open air, the quality of the cleaning tracks dropped a little. To join the new ones I need time !!
A really great video! Grats! You're so blessed to have all those sets! Such an awesome track at the end! Lol I really liked the (2 Lane) track that you made out of the the 4 lane track set. The Daredevil Jump set was my first slot car set as a child, that brings back so many memories. With the Nite-Glow and the headlights going in the dark was when the track came alive. I wore out the pickup shoes so many times with those T/A's. LOL I'm trying not to be envious. LOL Thanks
Hola: Haciendo estreno de mi nueva cuenta. Y qué mejor forma que comentar que ésta es la pista más épica que has hecho hasta ahora. Keep it up, bro! :D
Where's the A team track?? Anyway that's pretty awesome! If I had all those as a kid I would never have left the house and my friends would have to move in because they'd be basically living there...man these were fun!!
Great video and hobby. I just got back into it and have been collecting more track. One question. I have the same jump track, but I have no power to the track after the jump. Am I missing something?
Estimado, gran video. Quiero revivir mi pista Tyco pero necesito repuesto para los autos, principalmente llantas, neumáticos y engranajes... alguna recomendación por Ebay? Slds!
You need to review that every track is good connected, sometimes (and because they are old) ther is no good contact between the rail tracks (metal with metal) so you loose the continuity of the current, that leads to have no power in the receiving track (after the jump track). Hope this help you!
I was looking for those cars... And it's true, they can jump and land. There was a layout with a ramp and barrels ("Daredevil Jump") lights on the cars and 'niteglow' adhesive
The Indy cars front spoilers break easily and there’s no fixing them (glued spoilers just break easier) that’s the primary reason I don’t collect and race them.
Dude....u want a new friend!!!!!???.....lol.....every place u have a power supply track...u could of plugged in at least 1 or 2 more power packs....wouldn't hurt it. I've done it before with over 250ft of track in the 80's....sorry no video stuff back then...lol I'd love to run these!!!!
Hola Marcos. Tenía dos desde que era niño, las otras las he conseguido via mercado libre en Chile (que no es nada barato) y las otras via eBay. si quieres te mando datos de vendedores serios y confiables de eBay. Saludos y gracias.
Don't like it! For the simple fact that the cars cannot go fast enough! As much as I love race tracks!... there's to much going on! You need to find Lifelike's: All American Speedway! THAT is the PERFECT size track!

Wow!! I had the daredevil jump track & super duper cliff hangers when I was a kid. I'm glad I was born in 1970... great times & toys.

That other car from the Zero Gravity Cliff Hangers set is actually from the Viper TV show, and the Viper electric racing set.
The finished product looks like Sonoma and Watkins Glen (the two NASCAR-sanctioned road courses) combined.
All together nice 👍🏾

Awesome, Awesome layout! Great video. Wonder, where can you buy any of this, if possible.

Actually the cars are closer to 1:64 scale, otherwise they would just be too small to be practical.
