Forgot to mention my general thoughts about Bowmaster, so I'll write them down here.
Overall solid class, it's simple, stress free and very fast solo bosser. Probably has the laziest grinding with very decent rates.
In terms of damage scaling and funding relative to other classes, I think it is very weak. When this character was originally a nLomien mule I actually hated how weak it was compared to my other boss mules, a stubborn side of me forced me to keep investing and pushing the class and I don't think until matrix slots were unlocked with New Age where I started to like the class more. For perspective, my Hero and BM are only 2m difference in CP and my BM has 4x the amount of fragments invested into it versus the Hero(14k vs 3.5k), yet they are basically as strong as each other (on paper, BA and Culvert) The class is somewhere around the middle or below average in terms of strength and I want to say it's lower damage is made up with super high damage uptime, but that factor is pretty irrelevant when it comes to Grandis+ and party bossing.
The only thing people really care about in party bossing is; do you have any kind of support and how strong is your burst. BM's burst is not only weak, but very long. I like to say BM's burst is literally just "DPM'ing harder" and the funny thing is I don't feel the class is even that strong a DPM'er, compared to say my Corsair. The damage distribution is probably somewhere like 50/50 or 60/40. I honestly wished they made it so that if the class has a mid/weak burst that it is just super condensed like Bucc or Sair.
If you just want something super easy to play and not have to stress about dying out and re-running bosses and basically be able to AFK or 1 button farm then BM is for you. The QoL of being able to watch stuff, eat and even play other games on the side while my projectiles and arrow blaster kill mobs is such a good "QoL". But do be warned, if you intend to progress past Black Mage, you are probably going to be "picked last" unless you have a in-house party/group of friends to prog with. My biggest challenge with BM was actually reaching a satisfactory 35s BA for nKalos, my standard was around 30T because I wanted to join a split burst party. I was not able to reach that goal until basically 1month before I liberated, hitting 1.25x SAC, being 3 levels over AND having to pop a Black Heart. At that point in time, I was already doing 15m~ pre-libbed Black Mage solos, my Ctene runs were literally two bursts. I believe when I was doing sub 25-30m Black Mage runs, my burst was barely 20T in 35s BA which is bare min for nKalos with no support party. So yeah, it was quite a struggle.
