A software update is really a small issue and easy fix.

I live in a tropical climate and mine stalled 3 times in the first 1000km's. I'm at 4400km on mine and haven't had any issues yet.

thanks for confirmation. mine was updated and I am not happy at all. the anti-stall feature in low revs is really pissing me off.. thinking of downgrade back if possible in dealership..

It takes about 25/30 minutes. I had no previous problems with the mentioned issues. Since having the remap, some people say the throttle response is smoother low down. I didn’t really notice the difference, although I haven’t really had much time to ride it since.

@@pmacc3557 it’s a lovely looking bike with the great CP2 engine. I had a MT07 for about 6 years and enjoyed it, the R7 handles a lot better. Have fun and ride safe.

Here in the Philippines i heard of 3 issues:
    1. Cruise control not working on the '21 Tracer 9 GT.
    2. Low power or not revving enough for the '21 MT09.
    3. Cracked diamond frame on the same MT09.

    • @MyRandomLife247
      @MyRandomLife247 2 ปีที่แล้ว

The cracked frame was on one bike running in an endurance rally. I've seen the photos, there's more to the story than what the owner is putting out. With metallurgy and tolerances nowadays it's extremely unlikely to see a frame crack like that.

Iv never had a bike with cruise control and not sure I would use it in any case

    Hi Eddie
Thanks for the video, please update with what happens regarding this issue and how yours turns out when it goes in for the service.
l think this is why some people never want to be the first to purchase anything. They would rather wait till all is good and sorted.
Reminds me of a fellow from Australia who was explaining why he did not buy BMW bikes anymore, he had one which after its first visit to the dealer, it seemed the dealership somewhere mucked up the throttle body assembly and the thing was running foul, he was saying from that time onwards it never ran the same. He even ended up buying his own kit to deal with the issue. This was not his only reason to use the warranty.
He made an interesting point though that in the US it seems if something breaks under warranty it is normal to go and get it fixed, which is not the case in Australia. That is in the US people are not surprised by products failing and thus needing warranty repairs. Whereas for him and Australia in general people expected that bikes or whatever is bought should not utilise any warranties at all.
l wonder what he would make of this news, he had said l just buy Japanese nowadays because you do not have any such issues.
Anyway, it seems a minor thing but still, it should not be happening in the first place. Besides the inconvenience and embarrassment of a bike stall, it could also be a safety issue especially if you are at a robot or trying to overtake someone .

I’m seeing frames on the gen 3 completely cracked in half, I know it’s aluminium but seems to be a really thin frame material!! ?? Anyone else have any insight?
