We had those door fixtures and glass knobs in the house I grew up in. Loved them but also figured that was standard, I hadn't known any different. We didnt really have locks on the indoors well you had to have the key to lock so we never got locked in. Also had marble window sills, it was a brick house. Great childhood there.
Our house is nearly 170 years old and has many of the original features like door knobs and wood flooring. I love those small details too. And outdoor plug ins are amazing!

The green living room with the next room orange is Spanish colors. You must be a strong lady. I raised a large family but I could not imagine moving with that many. The little room your thinking office and my thought was boots and coats room. I love old houses. They have more character.

Get some WD40 to lubricate the mechanism on the doors. Those door knobs are identical to what was in my family home ions ago. Those flass door knobs are pretty but if thos ar3 original, you need to use WD40 on them.
I plan to do a garden but not any chickens. I’ll miss the fresh eggs and having chickens running around but we’ve decided we don’t want the expense of taking care of them while my husband is in Seminary.
They have a brand new bedroom downstairs. My video called Springtime Housework shows has a tour of all the work we got done while we were there for a week, which included building the boys a room.
One house and property were given to us. It was a blessing during this season of our lives to have it and having a place to live without a payment allowed us to pay off our debt. Now we are on to a new chapter. Not sure if this comment was worded wrong or meant to be unkind?
Yes that was quite a passive aggressive comment. I appreciate that you often explain that food banks in your area are open to all and do not have income limits. It's often a perception in our area that you have to be very low income to be able to get food bank access... It's really cool to spread out the excess food in your area and address food waste while making food accessible, especially in the current economy. I saw a box of cereal was $8 at the store this week, that's crazy. Most of us are SO happy for you and for you to be sharing your lifestyle through these vlogs. There will always be some jealousy of your position on social media, just ignore if u can. I think you inspire more people to check into the available food resources in their area, despite their financial status.

The boys have a bedroom 😊 They built it in the basement. My next video will show the progress that’s been made with all the new construction.
