but it would've been better for me if you put 'store - bought' instead of fake in the coomparrisons bc many of these use elmers glue and activator so their not exactly fake, just sitting in the store for too long .. :)
When I was a kid my parent only bought me Elmer’s slime (cuz I never asked for a different one) so I kinda grew up on Elmer’s slime
Could u make a video explaining why u put ur slimes in the fridge and what to do when ur done playing with ur slime also im new to slimes and just the basics for begginers I’ve watched ur videos but I’m still new to slime I’ve never done slime before 😅

TBC I don’t agree Elmers copy other slimes, you see, there are so many people around with similar ideas so this might been a mistake or Elmer’s was just look up inspo or smth?!
Having grown up in the 90s and once referring to homemade slime as "fake gak" it's bizarre to me to now see store bought slime being referred to as "fake". The world of slime has expanded so much since I was a kid and even though this was meant to compare store bought to homemade, it gave me a nice overview of the different types in general.

I'm surprised how sticky the Compound Kings slime was. It's my favorite store-bought slime, and it's never been that sticky for me. I wonder if they have different manufacturers between the UK and US 🤔
Maybe since the temperatures are different in each country it melts a bit

i think it's kind of unfair to compare the real color of the store-bought slime to your homemade slime that you put a saturation boost on. how is that a realistic color comparison at all?

Your recreation of the Mermaid's Gem slime ended up looking almost exactly like Dope Slimes' Amethyst Frostbite slime :) also you mentioning putty a lot made me really want a putty review from you since I prefer to stim with putty over slime (slime tends to get stuck to me and it freaks me out a little).

Hey as a person whos mom won't let her online shop slime and only buys store bought i have some tricks
To thick = add water
To sticky =keep playing for 10-20 minutes they thicken or add tissue (tissue will change the texture)
Turned almost solid or just hard to stretch = melt it with a little sanitizer
This is my usual solutions to that problem

Fun fact: the best slime i ever owned was a store bought slime. It was this thing i got at Ross and it was multiple slimes in one container, with one glitter slime and two blue and pink glossy slimes and…holy sh*t, the quality was so oddly incredible and it was so clickly and glossy and super thick but it also stretched really well, and the glitter slime had 0 fallout and it was store bought! It was so weird!

I don't understand. Store bought slime = scam slime? Homemade slime = real slime? Might as well just say store bought food/snacks/drinks are all scam version,only homemade stuff are the real ones. I really don't get this kind of wording while other TH-camrs like Carmen from Slimeowy never came out with such allegation against store bought product vs her own homemade version. She clearly stated which one is which and gave out her honest reviews. How exactly did you get scammed from buying store bought toy that were mass produced and priced below $10? Did they give you products that didn't look exactly like in advertisement? The thing is you bought the real Elmer's gue slimes. Not the fake version (is there even such thing as fake Elmer's products exist and been sold around?)
Not to mention that the clips of the "fake" products are normal, but the clips of "real" slime are EXTREMELY saturated, literally their hands are red... like why would you edit your own slimes to make them look good? :/
I think what she means by real is that she remade them and like shes kinda a slime expert and the product isn’t as fun as shown in advertisement

Tal i think i know why the big bucket of elmers gue has a yellow tint
the gallon buckets of elmers glue always has a yellow tint to it, while the quart and smaller ones are almost fully clear. they probably used that gallon bucket to make the giant bucket of elmers gue.
Fair, it was just disappointing to see because the distributor won’t be making the small ones one by one that will come from a. Big batch too so they could bucket that
My bucket didn't have a yellow tint, but my small glassy clear did

Im starting to binge watch storebought reviews. I think theyre more satisfying than home made slimes somehow. Ik homemade slimes are the best but storebought slimes just look and sound aesthetically pleasing (on camera as a review). Ill never buy storebought slimes tho, its not worth it unless ur making a review

I suck at making slime so I buy store slime instead. But I try to look at slime that isn't "cheap looking" and actually looks fun to play with

Hi Talisa! I love your videos so much! I really appreciate how you spend time just for us to enjoy it. I am a little confused because I got the Elmer's slime bucket and the clay mixed perfectly with the slime and did not make it rippy or stiff. But I think I know the reason why yours turned very stiff. You maybe added too little slime to the clay because I put a larger amount than all the other slimes and when I mixed it it turned into a nice creamy butter slime. Also, thank you for making your videos! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

Thank you so much for the reviews of the store-bought slimes. I'm going to get the clear Elmer's Gue, but it looks like a texture that I would hate. I need help and advice with how to make a clear slime. I've tried in the past, but I'm not patient and I don't know what to use. I have a clear glue gallon, not the Elmer's type of glue but another type so it's not tinted. How long should I wait and what size of container should I use? Please answer me. This was such a great video too!
Edit: I also bought the cosmic shimmer slime a few months ago, and I hated the smell. Mine didn't have that much pigment, and the texture was in the middle of a home-made slime and a putty-like store-bought slime. (Sorry this comment is long, but I need advice from the slime queen)
P.S I LOVE YOUR NAILS SO MUCH! I promise this is the last thing ;-;
I can't try to help as best I can! I like using smaller containers like 16oz or so for clear slime, and I wait about a week for it to clear up depending.

@@abbymorrison3097 I agree. My daughter enjoys the Elmers Gue ones and the small container of clear is super clear 😮. We have lots of add in’s like foam beads and fimo slices she can add and do whatever she wants. We use soft clay also and make our own little creations ☺️

I have the night owl. The scent is very unpleasant to me. They also have a cherry gue kind and a micro floam pink guy slime which i enjoy so much. Micro flown has a bit of fallout, the cherry barely has any. But don't buy night owl. Scent is soooooo strong and bad. The cherry scent is amazing though.

My experience with Elmer’s slimes is that the more you play with them the more stiff and deflating they become. I’ve been quite disappointed several times

Im pretty sure it’s because they cant use borax to activate it because of the law so they have to use different ingredients to make it. Thats why its different. Also slimes that are store bought are lower quality because they are cheaper.

I have the second elmers glue that you tried and I totally agree with you! It’s great slime and really nicely scented, although it did dry up even though I closed it, luckily, I got two of them!
Agreed. My daughter has most of the Elmers Gue small containers. We have sooo many different things to add into whatever slime she wants to also. She doesn’t enjoy “making slime” anymore (thank God lol) but she enjoys the Elmers ones and adding simple add ins (fimo slices, foam beads, soft clay etc) to make different textures.
I bought the same shiny purple pigment slime as you, Talisa! It’s also really crunchy if you stretch it to make a bunch of bubbles!
Love your videos, but could you turn down the saturation a little bit? Especially around 7 minutes mark, it makes it hard to keep watching..

I do not have a good experience with store slimes, all the add ones ruin the slime and make it though, and hard to play with (that’s just my experience)
We have most of these (well my daughter does) and I think the Night Owl is actually really nice once your hands warm it up and I love the smell 💙

I think the reason why store bought slime is usually so tough is because they need to worry about it melting down because kids (the intended user of store bought slime) usually don't have activator on hand

Plus it probably would sit under shelves under 24/7 harsh lights often and wait for a long time before purchasing and handle the heat of processing so it needs to be tougher lol

The store bought galaxy gue also is a black dyed base as opposed to entirely clear. If you rip it, you can see that the tears are solid black.. Because this is also one of my favorite slimes xD

personally whenever I try to make a clear slime I always use the white tide, after I activate it, it usually turns a bit yellow, but I put it in a air tight container overnight and let it clear up. That usually helps the yellow tint go away.

Just because it's a store bought slime, doesn't mean it's fake lmao
I bought the first one and I’m here to say the clay takes awhile to be normal. Like months 😭
We have the smaller Elmers Gue clear and we added modelite soft clay and it became soooo sticky. Then I added too much borax and it became like a rock 😕
The difference in picture saturation in 7:43 compared to 7:50 is obviously going to show the store-bought isn’t as pigmented or as vibrant as the homemade slime. Total difference in hand shades. That kinda seems unfair 😕
I was looking for this comment. All the "fake" slime are normal, but the "Real" slime clips are saturated and with some colors changed. I don't understand why if they are supposed to look good on their own :/

Add a tiny amount of purple food coloring to the first store bought. Itll cancel out the yellow tones
