I flew since i was in a LDR, but for bCall, I drove 1.5hrs for the 3rd encounter since the first two were at my spot (she worked in my city at that time)
As far as who has it harder, assuming it's a two parent household and both work fulltime, it still depends on the hours per day, distance and traffic level during commuting, how physically demanding or mentally draining the work is, how toxic the peer relationships are at work, and how fulfilling the career actually is. Generally single parents have it the toughest, but in the former, I'm seeing more gender roles blend and duties around the house and kids' activties split 50/50 or delegated to who does specific tasks best
