Very nice cards. I liked the delicate look of the vellum best. I had not seen the embossed strip on the inside of the card before. What an elegant look. Thank you for sharing!
Good morning, Kathi! It's pretty soggy here - we had so much rain (which we needed) all last evening and the storms were rocking as well! Oh my gosh, look how gorgeous those vellum flowers are! I love, love this gorgeous and elegant card - I have pulled my vellum out while watching you! I am so excited to try this technique. The cardstock version is beautiful as well, however, I love the vellum version - it's light and elegant! Thank you, as always, for sharing this wonderful technique!
Very beautiful! I’ve been wanting to learn to make vellum flowers and your video is amazing!! Thank you so very much! Both cards are beautiful but I like the vellum ones best.🤗🤗
@SimplyKardsbyKathi On the Vellum flowers, did you have all one size cut pieces for each flower? Did you use just 3 large or just 3 small? We made a card in a class with my Demo teacher last Sunday, and we used 2 large and 1 small Petal. And the square bottom Petal ended up on the top. I don't like it . The square edge one is weird.
Thank you for your feedback. There is actually two correct spellings for the word “vellum” according to Webster’s Dictionary. I guess it’s a matter of preference. 1 of 2 noun vel·lum ˈve-ləm 1 : a fine-grained unsplit lambskin, kidskin, or calfskin prepared especially for writing on or for binding books 2 : a strong cream-colored paper
Card design is lovely in every version. Vellum does enhance the translucent flower style. Dry embossed strip inside is great idea also!
Thank you, Karen! I am happy that you enjoyed them. Thank you for watching!
