- Filipinos are (by nature) a very friendly, affectionate, warm and welcoming people, so if you ever get an offer to celebrate & party with them, DEFINITELY DO IT!
On this occasion, the party was for the Mexican army's liberation from the French empire which is better known as Cinco De Mayo.
The Philippines & Mexico share many customs and traditions spanning over many decades, & (in recent years) this celebration seems to be growing each year.
The warm air is scented by the flavoursome mixture of Mexican food, which is balanced out by the authentic cold beverages.
As usual, there's a friendly vibe all around & you get a sense of love in the air by the Filipino smiles and gestures.

Salamat!
ain't no party like a pinoy party
... Because a Pinoy party don't stop! 💃🏼
As an overseas Filipino, I didn't know the Philippines celebrate a mexican holiday.
@asiandude8362 Prior to filming this, I had absolutely no idea either.
Some of my Spanish friends don't understand it either, but I read about the Philippines links with Mexico & it gives a little insight into why it's celebrated by the Filipino community.
as you very well know, pinoys will always find an excuse to have a get together and party
@@TryMyView Spaniards back in the day sent Mexican soldiers in the Philippines
@britneyspears4909 This is did not know. I'm a big history fan, so I'll be researching into this some more.
@@TryMyView Yeah they outnumbered the Spanish colonist in the country. Not only the culture they influence but also some filipino words have some Aztec/native american borrowed words in them, like, for example the word palengke (Palenque) means market in english.
WTF theres already lots of fiesta"s all over the philippines every weekend and now they add a mexican fiesta.
@darthvader-rr27888 lol... What can I say, the Filipino's just like to party I guess! 🎉🥳💃🏽🌮
COPYCATS ….. WTF !!! Phil’s. celebrating Cinco de Mayo …??? FOR WHAT ??? What is THE SIGNIFICANCE of MAY 5th in the Phils. ??? 🥺🤔😩
@ogieocampo2243 lol... They're a fun loving bunch of people who just love to party!
@@TryMyView …. Yup … but why not make a different version ( not copied ) Cinco de Mayo is Mexican Independence Day !!! Make one significant day that is Pilipino original ….!!!
That does sound like a good idea.
Incidentally, isn't there a day that is celebrated for when Philippines gained independence from the colonial Spain?
why on earth would Filipinos celebrate cinco de mayo? That's a latin american event!
@incognitoone Probably due to their Spanish colonial links.
@@TryMyView nah, I'm filipino. I've been on this earth going 7 decades. I don't remember this being a thing here EVER! Must be some marketing gag by some liquor company or something.
Lol, 🤣
It seems that everyone & everything can be (& often is) bought nowadays!
