- First off, apologies for the delay. You see, aside from being lazy, my laptop literally began to fall apart and was slow as heck. Thus, I got a new one! Sadly, I couldn't move the video files, so I was forced to finish the video on the dying laptop. I also lost a whole part, which explains why the last part of the video feels kinda lame. Still, I hope you guys will enjoy this combination of the star wars the clone wars with Sabaton's the end of the war to end all wars. Cheers.

Also the Galactic Empire and the First Order fit the song far better.
The Galactic Empire and the Emperor fell to be replaced by a weak republic which in return was ursurped by the First Order and the Supreme Leader.

This just goes to show how real the parallel is between the Star Wars and the first half of the 20th century. If only Disney had been smart enough to model the sequel trilogy after the Cold War

If I remember correctly, the original plan for the sequels was inspired by the resurgence of far right movements. The big bad (Hitler/Emperor) was dead, but his followers were still there.
@@mitamajr I probably would have hated that just as much as what we actually got tbh; it would have just felt like a commentary on current circumstances, which I’m not really interested in because no one can come up with a coherent take that doesn’t feel like a facebook “gotcha” one-liner, you know what I mean?
@@mitamajr Good films comment on the philosophy of ideas (the first trilogy). Bad films get caught up on commentary of current year politics (this original "far right" idea).

The original idea for the sequels (according to Lucas) was to have them based on the Iraqi Invasion. The New Republic is formed, they deal with the remains of the Empire and there would have been a criminal organisation (runned by Maul) spanning over the galaxy.
I don't know what real parallels these factions would've represented, but that's what I've heard.
This brings a tear to my eye because of sabaton’s beautiful music but also because of the old clone wars episodes, and I must say this for all the fallen clones...Always Remember A Fallen Soldier

If you think about it, the Outer Rim was constantly fighting for their freedom, from the Clone Wars to past the Empire and even First Order eras.
This one genuinely made me kinda sad. The Republic may have "won" the Clone Wars, but their citizens and defenders didn't.
Just like the allies eh. The Catholic Fascist Sith were right of course. But a few tweaks will make everything better

The Allies' post war problem was conflict between wartime idealism and practical realization, and, all things considered, they handeled it decently. The Republic, meanwhile, became that which it's defenders thought they were defeating. The tragedy is that clones came back from the war and were discarded, Jedi were simply killed, and citizens were devestated by systematic Imperial purges. That didn't happen post WWII.

I can only assume the Clone Wars to basically parallel the War to End all Wars. And that would make the Galactic Civil War parallel World War II. The similarities are MANY.
And think about there were 20 years between WWI and WWII and about 20 years between the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War.

Not only was Order 66 the Sith revenge on the Jedi order, but in a way the Clone Wars was the Sith revenge on the Republic if not the whole galaxy, pitting worlds against each other and inflicting suffering and death on billions in a massive catastrophic pointless civil war orchestrated by one single man and systematically dismantling the Republic's values and identity until it was essentially reformed into the New Sith Empire from the inside. Palpatine must have been having the time of his life during this era considering that he was not only fulfilling his personal ambitions of becoming Emperor but also achieving what the Sith order has been dreaming off for literal millenia.
Although he never would've thought that war will erupt once more in 20 years and it's a different kind of war the galaxy has never seen in a long time and once an untold number of lives will be lost.
Absolutely phenomenal tribute to the war so many of us grew up watching🙏So much respect

I enjoyed to see the Order burn, for every Hog of War, for every single man in this Slave Army. The Dark Side didn't became stronger, the Jedi lost the way of the Light Side.

@@jasonskeans3327 They call themselve Guards of Peace and Justice, but what kind of Peace did Mace Windu guard when he invades Geonosis with so many Jedis? Anakin never tries to talk with the Genosians, he kills them from the first Moment. Even Joda never tries to talk with the CIS Senate and they never asks where the Clones and all of the Ships, Walkers, Starfighters and Weapons came from. All they think for was to Figth against the Droid Army. Padme was the only one i ever saw, who searches for a more peacful Way to end the Battles. Think back when Obi Wan spys while Dooku and the CIS Army Leaders meet in the secound Movie. What realy unites them was the Fear that the Jedi will force them to surrender.

But I got a question, why does the resolution differ so much ? Not just from clip to clip, but also from video to video.
Because of the downloaded clips. Sometimes, I need a very specific clip, but can't find it anywhere with a good resolution. There's also plenty that I downloaded years ago, when it was all in 720p. So yeah, kinda annoying. Now that I got a new laptop, I'm thinking of going on a new download spree to make sure it's better resolution.
