    Am I the only one who thinks that the Kaminoans have the smoothest voice in all of the Star Wars characters, especially Nala Se?
    Everytime they talk it's pretty much an eargasm, for me at least.

      I always thought the Kaminoans were the most aesthetically beautiful of all Star Wars aliens. And that includes their voice. Something about them at first glance feels somewhat ethereal, of a "higher plane" sort of. From their beautiful and elegant form and movements, to their very soothing voices.
      Sadly, in stark contrast to that image, their culture and personalities are basically non-emotional scientists, purely logic and no emotion. (or *_almost_* no emotion, Nala Se surprised me with wanting to save Omega)

    0:23 that part about Jango Fett’s DNA degrading always bugged me. I remember them mentioning it in Clone Wars as well about having to stretch Fett’s DNA in order to produce more Clones.
    Because that’s just not how DNA works, so long as the genome is intact then they should have no problem with creating as many Clones as they like. DNA can be subject to degradation, but that process takes millions of years and cloning an individual a million times over won’t accelerate that (unless of course the Kaminoan’s cloning technology is faulty).

    • @ivmen98
      @ivmen98 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You can just make up something along the lines "In order to make a 1:1 clone,the DNA degrades a little"

    • @Laserbeak316
      @Laserbeak316 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@ivmen98 well DNA isn’t supposed to do that. Unless of course, it’s a design flaw of the cloning technology the Kaminoans use.
      Which would mean our real-life cloning technology is actually better than one set in a sci-fi universe.

    • @erikthomsen4768

      @@Laserbeak316 I wouldn’t say better. Just made for a different scenario. The Kamenoen can create viable clones from raw materials while we on Earth have to use a host.

    • @commanderbacara225
      @commanderbacara225 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @@Laserbeak316 It is likely that the Kaminoans were unable to safely induce telomerase inhibition/telomere elongation without causing cancer and/or prevent/reverse point mutations in the Jango Fett genotype, resulting in increased genetic deviation after each generation of cloning.
      Millions of point mutations occur every single day in normal humans in real life, which adversely affects the purity of an original strand. Base/Nucleotide excision repairs usually prevent this but they are not 100% effective, which is also why DNA "ages".
      Current methods of cloning in real life result in animals living a shorter lifespan due to decreased telomere viability. They inherit the "age" of the donor. So if a donor was 40 years old and is projected to live to 50 years old, the clone is projected to live only 10 years before dying, as his/her DNA is already 40 years old due to Telomere shortening.
      Edit: Grammar

    • @Laserbeak316
      @Laserbeak316 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@commanderbacara225 not that I’m disagreeing with you (you’re the first person who’s actually made a possible scientific explanation as to how Jango Fett’s DNA sample is degrading). But if cancer did arise in the clones, would it not simply be treatable?
      I’d imagine with all the highly advanced medical technology in the Star Wars universe, it’d be pretty easy for someone afflicted by cancer to be treated and cured.
