I lived 30 years with a narcissist. I was totally blind to what he was doing to me. I lost myself completely. My oldest son committed suicide when he was 23 and I believe it was at least partly due to the manipulation and toxic relationship he had with his father. He constantly put him down and my son could “never do anything right”. So sad what I didn’t know. Thank you for educating people about this much needed information and saving those lost souls.

Saying for years “ if you were not that sweet , Couldn’t tolerate you, you’re one in a million! After they talk you down to nothing, everything is wrong, and all their lies are rejected as well . The sorrow , pain, fear and confusion, after this happens, cannot be explained into words, after discovering their criminal minds
Amen! Sometimes the person you are trusting the information with may be in league with the people involved, and may gaslight you to prevent you from holding the other person accountable. Unfortunately, we don’t know that right away.
I was with a narcissist and he was doing things to make me angry to prove that I was the problem when really his abusive behaviour was the reason I got angry but now he is gone I just didn’t let him have that kind of control over me anymore
You’ve helped me open my eyes and leave the narc… but now I’m the narc because I made the hardest decision ever due to financial reasons I didn’t want my kids to go without but I’m evil for that and not wanting to move them to unknown. He has family around I have nobody no support in this country so I thought it was safer overall to sacrifice now he’s saying I abandoned them which I did not I abandoned him and did the hardest decision I could ever it still tears me apart daily but now I have stability I can’t have them at my place still. It madness but I will never give up to his will. I’m done with that
The constant questioning and asking to see my phone. Direguarding all my acts of love. At 55 I'm going to love myself and my adult children and grandchildren. Put my energy where i will have a worthwhile investment.

My ex-girlfriend didn’t want me to fly. She didn’t say that we were broken up, but after I said that this would be a deal breaker (because I was flying before we had even met) I noticed a distinct pattern. She would always start a fight the night before a flight. One day after a flight she asked me to come over. She asked me a question that hinted at triangulation. She asked me, “when was the last time you had sex”? I said the last the last time I had sex was, was the last time you had sex ,and I proceeded to pour each of us a glass of wine and proposed a little toast. Here’s to me and here’s to you, and here’s to love and laughter, I’ll be true as long as you and not one minute after. Caught her having an affair with a married cop when I dropped by her apartment by surprise on a night that I was supposed to be working . Her loss.😅

Rebecca, I think it's important to shine a light on the fact that your tactics of dealing with a narcissist make sense when one party has a sensible take on an interaction. Let me explain further...for example, you mention that a narcissist's tactic can be to say you're acting crazy and irrational. That holds true when the accused is actually NOT acting crazy and irrational. But its common knowledge that people DO act this way. (Just look at TH-cam videos or watch some police interactions and you'll find plenty of examples!) So my worry here is that someone who is ACTUALLY acting irrational and crazy and not in integrity and is called out for acting that way will then understand your teachings to feel justified in saying "Im not crazy. Im not irrational. YOU'RE the narcissist for saying these things!" Now, obviously a horrible narcissist can use these kinds of accusatory and inflammatory statements to really f*** with someone. But sometimes, Rebecca, the rational person IS confronted with a bunch of irrationality and BS (often in the service of serving their ego to get what they want). And then this person acting irrationally will then accuse the RATIONAL-acting person of being a narcissist. What are your thoughts? I just want to shine a light on this dynamic. I love your teachings and videos and have learned a lot about myself and others! Thank you!
Im exhausting all of my knowledge ive learned over the years. Im trying to get my fiance to understand his ex is a covert narc. In middle of modification of custody because she is harming children mentally, but he is not understanding everything she does has an angle or why he has to document everything, he thinks its petty and pointless. She just ignored court order to send update support aff. B4 meditation. Also know she is lying about not working, had him email lawyer tell him same day of meditating where she said not workinb her son said she has been working for while and no update aff filed. Lawyer responds well she will need to do another before court thats it. He doesnt get the whole not letting them get away with it completely and why its important to doc to show court the level of disrespect for court the lying the feeling above the court. Still looking at it as like its just petty stuff or well its court orderd she will have to. Itbwas court ordered b4 and she didnt why would she send in next nothkng happened when she defied the second one. She sent the first cause she just had been put on medical leave (with no explanation as to what medical reasons either very vague doc note) but second one she is back to work.

My ex-girlfriend didn’t want me to fly. She didn’t say that we were broken up, but after I said that this would be a deal breaker (because I was flying before we had even met) I noticed a distinct pattern. She would always start a fight the night before a flight.
One day after a flight she asked me to come over. She asked me a question that hinted at triangulation. She asked me, “when was the last time you had sex”? I said the last the last time I had sex was, was the last time you had sex ,and I proceeded to pour each of us a glass of wine and proposed a little toast. Here’s to me and here’s to you, and here’s to love and laughter, I’ll be true as long as you and not one minute after. Caught her having an affair with a married cop when I dropped by her apartment by surprise on a night that I was supposed to be working . Her loss.😅

Rebecca, I think it's important to shine a light on the fact that your tactics of dealing with a narcissist make sense when one party has a sensible take on an interaction.
Let me explain further...for example, you mention that a narcissist's tactic can be to say you're acting crazy and irrational. That holds true when the accused is actually NOT acting crazy and irrational. But its common knowledge that people DO act this way. (Just look at TH-cam videos or watch some police interactions and you'll find plenty of examples!)
So my worry here is that someone who is ACTUALLY acting irrational and crazy and not in integrity and is called out for acting that way will then understand your teachings to feel justified in saying "Im not crazy. Im not irrational. YOU'RE the narcissist for saying these things!"
Now, obviously a horrible narcissist can use these kinds of accusatory and inflammatory statements to really f*** with someone.
But sometimes, Rebecca, the rational person IS confronted with a bunch of irrationality and BS (often in the service of serving their ego to get what they want). And then this person acting irrationally will then accuse the RATIONAL-acting person of being a narcissist. What are your thoughts?

Im exhausting all of my knowledge ive learned over the years. Im trying to get my fiance to understand his ex is a covert narc. In middle of modification of custody because she is harming children mentally, but he is not understanding everything she does has an angle or why he has to document everything, he thinks its petty and pointless. She just ignored court order to send update support aff. B4 meditation. Also know she is lying about not working, had him email lawyer tell him same day of meditating where she said not workinb her son said she has been working for while and no update aff filed. Lawyer responds well she will need to do another before court thats it. He doesnt get the whole not letting them get away with it completely and why its important to doc to show court the level of disrespect for court the lying the feeling above the court. Still looking at it as like its just petty stuff or well its court orderd she will have to. Itbwas court ordered b4 and she didnt why would she send in next nothkng happened when she defied the second one. She sent the first cause she just had been put on medical leave (with no explanation as to what medical reasons either very vague doc note) but second one she is back to work.
