I have an amusing story. When visiting Copenhagen in 2018, I went into a bakery near the Palace, and I asked the man behind the counter what I should try. A stunningly beautiful woman behind me, with a few people who seemed to be with her, told me let me pick what you wish to try... She did so speaking, I guess to be Danish, and I was handed a box with a selection of pastries after the man behind the counter had given her what she wanted. This beautiful woman left with 3 men with her. I asked how much I needed to pay, and he said nothing. I was flabbergasted. I wondered why, and he said you do not know this woman, do you? I told obviously, I didn't. Why? He told me that the stunning woman was Princess Mary. Who is now the Queen of Denmark!

The lusters are, of course, gorgeous & splendid. And the chambers, in any case, are many times better, than in the Russian royal palaces - everything is refined and tasteful, without vulgarity & tawdriness.

Christiansborg is the building of our Government and Parliament. So by definition for all of us!! The Royal Family does not live there! They live at Amalienborg. The rooms shown in this video are open to the public, as you can see!? And only used at official events such as receiving foreign Heads of States (Royal Dinners etc ). Btw 99% of the ceremonial parts of our recent transition from Queen Margrethe to King Frederik as non political Head of State of Danmark took place at Christiansborg. And involved BOTH politicians and the old and the new Monarchs. But apparently foreign watchers of that mostly only "saw" the Royals!? There was so many symbolic details lost on them!
