On 10th Muharram fasting when n where Rasool ALLAHص said this
The Hadith about fasting in Muharram is found in several authentic sources. Here are two key references:
1. Sahih Muslim:
- Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The best fasting after Ramadan is the month of Allah, Muharram." (Sahih Muslim 1163a)
2. Sahih Bukhari:
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day). (Sahih Bukhari 2004)
These references highlight the importance of fasting during Muharram, especially on the 10th of Muharram, and show its significance.
