I used to say it AR CEE US when he first came out. Then after Silvally's RKS system, I figured it was AR KAY US. And being a god, that made sense to me with the "ceus" possibly a play on Deus. More specifically, I think it's a combo of archaic (ancient, root arkhaios, Greek for beginning) and Deus being Latin for god. So Arceus, "Ancient God" or "God of the Beginning."
The last one (or kai-ten) is the correct one as the English word. The second one has a meme reason to be canon within Morrowind/Dunmer culture as specifically this material and the first one is just both wrong _and_ dumb.
I don't like how they put off the actual pronunciation because people in fantasy worlds would be more likely to constantly hear a word rather than read it.

While, honestly, you're correct with like 4/5 follower mods, these two specifically are pretty good, especially the Argonian's. Remiel's could do with a bit more neutral pronunciation. Fewer RL accents in fantasy worlds, please.
@@qwormuli77 Fewer...RL accents...in Fantasy? How does that even make sense? You want people to speak with a made up accent? Also, what the heck is a neutral pronunciation lol? Gamers can be so weird, they talk about things like they know what they are saying and absolutely don't lol.
I’ve always pronounced it kyte-tin
As have too as it is literally taught to you if you learn anything about insects or beetles.
That's how I pronounce it too because that's just how you say it in English unless you don't know what chitin is.
Ive never really known how to pronounce chitin, and have always pronounced it as “kitten”
I never knew how to pronounce it, and I’ve always read it in my head as “shittin” 😭
OBVIOUSLY it's pronounced "chitin".
Ugh this reminds me of the arceus arguments my friends and I would have

Remi confuses everyone
I love them 😂
What would be your thoughts on making a xelzaz patch with "forgotten city" quest mod
it's funny because neither of them can pronounce it right
Both kiting and cheating are indispensable if you wanna be good at Elder Scrolls PvP

I don’t think either of them are right.
