Those were actually the best Super Sonic boss battles I’ve ever experience since Sonic Unleashed, in previous games he mostly just dashes into them but here he does a lot more then that. Hopefully they do more of this in the future because imagine if we get another powerful edgy villain like Mephiles and Infinite, we’d finally get a Dragon Ball style fight in a Sonic game and I know I’m not the only one who wants that.

It's amazing to me that they managed to avoid the typical Super form problem of having to have the player suddenly adjust to an entirely new way to play, but also making you feel far more powerful than you ever could as just regular Sonic! That's a genuinely hard thing to do.

When the 2nd phase of the wyvern boss fight kicked in I literally shed a tear, the OST, the visuals, the gameplay that was actualy a bit tough (i went in wit like 100 rings) it was so hype and beautiful
My advice to help with titans is grind like mad at bigs fishing spots for lost kocos and use them to increase your ring level and also do the same for red seeds of power for the power stat i went in to the knight fight with max power and i destroyed him more then the damage rise of lyric did to sonics credibility hell i even on my first time fighting him skipped right past the whole riding the shield down to him and i went straight to his phase 2

I found myself jamming and smiling so hard with the titan fights. They went off so incredibly hard with the fights. I hope to see some Boss Rush mode added in a future update but until then, I'm going to do a lv1 hard run to experience that high again. Sonic really is back 😭😭
You can replay them if you save your file before a boss fight, and copy that file to an empty file. Use it wisely though so you don't lose your game progress on your Main File.

Hearing Chris Pratt vs Fadel... Yeah that was it, thats how you can tell FADEL IS THE SONIC FAN OF ALL TIME!
Whoever was storyboarding the QTEs just understands the appeal of anime cinematics and shot composition so well it's insane. It's like they've been doing this forever, when frontiers is more anime then every single sonic game in the past 13 years combined.
The end was a weird way to end out the game, not gonna' lie. However that doesn't change the fact I adore this game. Also wild that after fighting the infinite void the game just casually canonizes Sticks.
I do believe this is the first time we had a super sonic fight where he actually *FIGHTS* instead of flying around and bumping into or dashing at the enemy he is fighting.
Now for future sonic games, i hope sega knows how cool people think this is and try to add more raw stuff like this, it doesnt even need to just be with super sonic, imagine a knuckles and sonic team up this cool in a game for example
All of the things sonic is able do in this game especially cyloop is Insane, like he couldn't do any of these things in the past games and it blows my mind of how much his raw unfiltered power has immensely increased, he can slow down time just by parrying attacks and he now has psychic abilities and that's only just a fraction of things he's now capable of.

Yeah I wish I found this guy sooner throughout the entire Frontiers anticipation experience, I only discovered him after looking up reactions when Vandalize first dropped. I really admire his persistence in the genuine optimism and excitement he exudes 💙
I am just so damn surprised and glad that they put such strong emphasis on Super Sonic and the power fantasy behind it, and even just the power fantasy of Sonic in general, after having him be the sole playable character in 3D mainline games for so long. I love how they went all in on giving Sonic ridiculous, but highkey kickass powers and abilities. This direction is so, so refreshing- and actually has me hopeful for the future of the 3D games for the first time in 11 years.
These super sonic fights are animated the way fans always thought of them. We’ve never had fights look this cinematic, they must have seen Nazo Unleashed and realized how we thought of Super Sonic 😭
The Super Hard Mode mod being worked on makes me excited, these fights are going to last like 2 times longer, more time to experience PEAK. ALSO WYVERN THEME GOATED, BEST IMO, BESTTTT!
Despite some of the games glaring issues, I think it more than made up for it with the incredible characterization, fight choreography and music score.
I don't watch a lot of streamers, but I've been hearing hype about Frontiers from this guy for quite some time now, and watching all his hyping up actually came true was, in a word, divine. Now I have seen a true form of a 'gamer in hype'.
I loved every fight in this game. I've heard allot of people dislike the final hidden boss "The End" and I'd like to give my take on it. The fight itself is more heavily tailored towards the story and less of the spectacle of super Sonic and even the Titan Sage helping out. It's about sonic, the sonic team, and the history of the franchise. Sonic frontiers is an inflection point in the series, connecting and ending the last series of games while laying building blocks for the next generation of games to come. In the boss fight they reference infinite, gods that sonic has fought aka time eater, and other powerful robots. The fight wasn't about the fight if that makes sense. It was about where we've come and where we, aka sonic team and the fans, are heading. The song that plays at the end is a message from sonic team (confirmed in an interview before the games release, all songs were chosen very specifically but most importantly the finale song of the game)
*This* was the Sonic I grew up with in the 2000s. The shonen kind that might as well be in a Dragon Ball Z cameo. None of that “BaLdY mCnOse HaIr” crap. I pray that the series continues down this route for a *long* while
This game has overwhelmingly positive reviews on steam, and currently has a player base of over 14 thousand people. Sonic Forces couldn't even scratch 2 thousand players at launch with a smaller price tag. As SEGA usually tends to scrap entire concepts when a game is a failure, it's safe to say they're going down this route for the foreseeable future
I was crying tears of joy and sobbing loudly during this boss fight. It literally made me feel like a little kid again, being forcefully reminded of why I love Sonic the Hedgehog! Open-world gameplay, NieR: Gestalt depression-type story themes, bad AF Sleeping w/ Sirens metalcore boss music, and a Super Saiyan Super Sonic?! Like a cool bottle of caffeinated Gatorade to the SOUL!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Sonic Team desperately needed magic like this to happen, and I’m glad it happened, indeed!
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a fan of some of the level design or how this game controls at times, but the dialogue, the soundtrack and these fights are absolutely 10/10

That knight fight made me wish Sonic had Caliburn from the Black Knight game. At least sonic was able to cut him in half with his own sword though (Anime af finisher btw!). Also fun fact in Sonic and the Black Knight when you fight the knights of the roundtable the song "Through fire" plays. I'm not sure of that was a clever callback or pure coincidence when making the song for this boss fight.
