I totally get what you're saying about the child being more engaged despite the material looking a bit dull haha! We are using MP's Storytime Treasures and Traditional Spelling and the workbooks are text heavy but my son doesn't mind! Seems like he is able to focus more on the concepts being taught rather than the design. I add the beauty and color part when we do art. 😊
