In my country at 17th to 19 century was a method for death penalty. They make many holes in the body of victim, and push a candle in each holes. Then they lit the candles. The victim was killed by bleeding until candles go out. Historical books have described this type of death as very painful
Other fun fact: Electric Chair in the US was legalized largely because of the "AC and DC Current Battle", with Thomas Edison winning. He like sneakily made sure his current method was used for the electrocution, then his company used it to propel use of his electric power system in the US

i was pro death penalty until i did research for a pro/con paper on a subject of our choice in college. I decided that i wouldn't gain anything intellectually by writing about a stance i already had,so i decided to challenge myself by researching from the 'con' side. The final straw for me,however, was my mom saying she was pro death penalty,but couldn't be the one to push the plunger or flip the switch...i thought about it,and,at least for myself, i couldn't do it,either,so therefore, i could no longer endorse it. As the maxim goes "Capital Punishment means that those without the capital,get the punishment"

To me even one Innocent person who was Innocent, is reason enough to abolish the death penalty. Look at the case of Derek Bentley in the UK, or Colin Campbell Ross here in Melbourne, Australia. Both were innocent and both were executed. If you don't know these cases, please look them up. There are plenty of TH-cam videos on them. No legal system is perfect, that is regardless of where it is. There is no evidence that it is a deterrent None. I think it was maybe 1 of their family members of the girls killed, in the area during that time. They just found a kid that they thought likely, assuming him guilty, or making him a scapegoat.

i'd take firing squad to the head. I would imagine it is if the person isn't given anesthesia. They collapse their lungs. In Connecticut, they stopped because he dude woke up on the gurney in convulsions.
