Finally got my 395 starting with a new contractor next week and think il be acrylicing wood work then top coating with oil base satin any tips ,and what tip u using on acrylic I have just orderd a 208,and read pressure to be on 1800?would u acrylic wood work then coat walls up next day?many thanks
A good size to tip for spraying woodwork is a 310 fflp tip a 208 is a bit slow and doesn't put enough paint on your woodwork for site work , also around 1500-1600 psi is a good pressure to work at on site. Regarding your walls if you get a 517 graco ltx tip , spraying pressure around 2100 -2400 psi. You might want a finer finish on the walls so you could use a 518 fflp tip spaying pressure around 1800-2000 psi
@@camdecorations9779 yea not to sad on the walls so am happy either that 517 and on plaster board I'm happy with the blue tip but have been running it at max pressure so will do as u have said sure it will control better and less over spray and will order 310 now cheers u acrylic woodwork once or double? Hi mate great videos Ive been doing new work for 30 years but only just ( 2 months) started to spray so getting hang of it . I notice you spray skirting does that mean you cut emulsion to skirting as i banding with the sprayer but cutting in the woodwork
No I don't cut the emulsion in , I spray the perimeter above the skirts with the gun sideways then then I spray the walls as normal but stop where I've sprayed around the perimeter, that way you don't slaughter the skirts with emulsion. When your spraying the idea the perimeter the idea is to just spray the top lip of the skirting . It takes a bit of practice but you will get the hang of it. Hope I've explained that well .
On the stairs it's a bit of a mix I will oilbase handrail , apron , and newel post. . That's because I end up hitting these area with the hose when I go to spray the finish coat on the walls. On the frames you'll oibase on top of your primer but you can spray the primer twice then top coat it , just as long as you don't slaughter the frames with overspray when you go to spray the walls.

Hi cam thanks , I already use a spraying unit from abroad with 2 pin plug , and that seems to work ok with plug converter , so fingers crossed with the graco ! Keep up the good work mate 👍
@@nialloconnor5321 yes it was and the sites are making the most out of it . Its been crazy this year some of the jobs I've been on where the units are clearly not ready and they still want you to paint them . Honestly it's shocking.
I know bud .i wont do delopment sites anymore . Sick of the bullshit on them and the messy plots and dickhead site agents . Only new build for private builders now .and when my work dries up i subbie to other contractors but commercial work .as in new offices or private sector on prices

Only temporarily , this stamp duty is kicking our arses so where having to team up to complete these houses on there crazy time schedules..
