Even the rain can’t quite spoil a walk there. I can’t be certain after so many years but I’m fairly certain that I spent the night in that cave to shelter from the rain. Back in the 1970s equipment, especially tents, wasn’t quite as lightweight as now so it was a toss up between a night in there or dealing with a wet tent (waterproofed cotton) in the morning.
Amazing! I considered that myself at one point, I think it would have been a great experience but a little cold as I didn't have my sleeping bag or roll mat with me, I have a small mat I use to sit on and my down jacket just in case but I honestly think I would have been ok
@@NickGoesHiking from what I could see the stone looks worn smooth with countless feet over the years. The tent we and my mate were carrying was a Good Companion Standard made by Blacks.
@markshrimpton3138 That's right yeah, it's worn smooth, I used to take all my kit with me when hiking so normally would have had my roll mat, sleeping bag and a 1 man lanshan, but I recently switched to a day pack on these 1 day hikes so have none of that I'd love to spend a night I there, would be a priceless memory that
Beautiful location that one, even in the rain it looked gorgeous
Yeah, I still had a great day out, just sitting in the cave watching the rain and admiring the view was a perfect moment
These shots are amazing my friend! Absolutely amazing!
Thanks you 😀
Gorgeous place, shame about the rain bit I quite enjoy walks in the rain to be fair
It wasn't too bad to be fair, I was a bit annoyed at first but I got over it
