I was born in 1993 and grew up listening to your music. My parents would play your songs at home, and they are some of my earliest and fondest moments and melodies. My mother especially loved your music. She passed from an illness when I was 13, and your music has always helped me to feel connected to her. Your music also has shaped my own ear as a musician and my perspective as an artist. So much peace and tranquility, but endless power and beauty and story telling in your music. I recently had the idea to look for a place to catch up with you and your latest work. This was the most recent thing that I could find. And this video was so therapeutic and precious. Thank you for the piano lesson. Play the sheet music version, watching you play this was an upgrade. Saw you at the Birchmere in around 2000 then at capital jazz. What a change in my life, play this song almost every time I finish tuning a piano, 3 or 4 a day. Much love always to you!
The very first time I heard Keiko I was crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, back in the early 90's, returning from a dinner in Sausalito. It was my best "Golden Gate Crossing" in all times. Immediately I found a Music Store that was open 24 hours (yes, they existed back then before the Internet and music streaming). Since then I hava collected all her albuns (CD's and DVD's) launched in US, even living in Brazil (where Keiko's albuns are very rare to find _ Keiko, I told you and wrote to you many times abou this). I also saw her two times live and supposed to see her again this year if it would be possible . Now I am looking to see her again in August, 21 at the Napa Valley concert. I hope this situation will be over then. I love your music and will always do Keiko.
