- Here I present Thani Malayalam, the first song from my debut solo album, The Gypsy Sun. It portrays my love for Malayalam, the language which has given shape to my thoughts and ideas.
This video features eminent personalities from Malayalam literature, culture, art, and cinema. I would like to express my love and gratitude to them for agreeing to be a part of this project even in the midst of their busy schedules.
Personalities featuring in the video are M T Vasudevan Nair, Sara Joseph, Benyamin, Nedumudi Venu, Peeshapilly Rajeevan, Artist Bhattathiri, Methil Devika, Peruvanam Kuttan Marar, Ramachandra Pulavar. I’m so happy that I could include my Malayalam teacher Shri Madavoor Sasidharan who taught me in Govt Model B.H.S.S, Thiruvananthapuram. He was instrumental in fostering a love for the language in me. I’ll forever be grateful to him.
