@@flickwithmickTiny clear plastics and basically trying the best you can to cast it directly in front of the fish’s face, iv found to be the most efffective, still takes alot of casts 😂 There’s also a good podcast on ALF about chasing pelagics feeding on jelly prawns which is good for a few tips 👍
Unluck Mick, very frustrating! I’ve had the kings feeding on the jelly prawns like this around Gladesville/Hunters Hill many times. Sometimes a 5g Halco Twisty reeled at full pace through them does the trick
great video mate, I've been getting them in iron Cove Bay using clone prawns and MMD Soft prawn, on a slow roll through them, with small twitches, but they can be so frustrating at times, great work mate,
@@flickwithmick Yeah there was also a school of kings in there too, about a week and a half ago, threw in 3 times hoping to get a king, and each time a trevally took it, as they were feeding with the kings, biggest was 50 cm, but great fun, and good exercise chasing them up and down the bay,

Nice one Mick! Sometimes Salmon go super selective and just want lures exactly the size and colour of what they’re eating. Other times they’ll eat a ciggy butt with a hook in it. 🤷🏻 The flatty and the bream tho!! 😮
Salmon will do that, bust up then go back down. You think they’ve gone but they are just on the bottom. Instead of jerking the plastic just wind it at a constant speed.
@@flickwithmickI get them in the harbour on flick 295s. Absolutely rip it. If they have too much time to look at it, they won’t touch it. Nice bream BTW
Nice bream and yeah those salmon fight hard, awesome to see Sydney coming back to life.
Abarth Spotto at 1:50.....awesome
The only time I seem to spot bust ups is when I have my gear at home - life !!
Great video Mick , all you can do is try mate and you certainly gave it a crack . Good bream and flatty
Yep!! At least i caught one but what a shame i didnt hit the record button 😡
Crazy great fun!
Yes it was!
some of the most frustrating sessions iv had in that exact spot chasing salmon feeding on the jelly prawns 😂😂 sick video bra 👏
A very stressful session indeed 🤣

Had a similar situation up the coast near woywoy. Changed to a Pro Lure grub but only got 1, I think the smaller the better . Love your vids🤙
How funny is that! The salmon is caught was also on the prolure paddle grub! In that green colour
You’re a bream magnet 😂. Chunky fish 👌
Cast at salmon… catch bream 🤦🏼♂️ 😂😂

Awesome Mick
I find the miniature dax is pretty good for this situation I reckon
Will give it a go!
hi mick u might try a bright silver lure as they are in feeding frenzy they could be after small bait fish what to loose
Tried all i had in my tackle box 😂
@@flickwithmick Get bigger trackle box bro lol
@@flickwithmick mate brooooo ya gota van fill it with shelves and fit box to hold your gear you will have biggest bloody tackle around hahahaha
Probably chasing glassies... tiny little whitebait that not many lures can mimic. Cool vid though, looks like a fishy spot 👌🏽
Jelly prawns everywhere!! Couldnt match the hatc

I agree!! I threw the house
Bummer bro it’s called fishing for a reason haha I’m sure you will get em soon
💯 😂😂
Keep a 10lb setup handy with ajing plastics handy for these situations.
Ajing plastics would of definitely worked!
And I thought you were the goat 😢 hahaha solid bream re
Looks like the salmon are the real MVPS im just a poor old fella 😄😂

Every anglers dream is casting into a bustup
A very stressful situation when they dont wanna eat 🤣🤣
man they are so hard to hook when they feed on that tiny bait
So true!!

Will try this!
Gotta speed wind your lure through them, you will 100% get more hookups
Ill try next time!! 🫡🫡🫡
yeeeeew
Mmd soft prawn maybe
2 inch or smaller clear placcy
Where is this mate?
that's the bottom of Hen and Chicken bay
@@Mitdog thank you
Salmon are a pelagic. You have to rip it.
nah, they are only chasing one thing in the place where he is, they dont even respond to metals there
Maybe a top water lure and a rip on it. But hey cool too see. Next time.
They were fixated on the jelly prawns! I threw a mmd splash prawn too, no luck 😂
