He won this cometition, the former winners MSR on 11 occasions. The most anyone else ever won the competition was 6 times. Alasdair didn't win it on this occasion, but he did win the Northern meeting Gold medal that same day
Significant slip in third part of first Strathspey and another in the second part of the first reel. Uncharacteristic, but reassuring to note that even the Gods are fallible!
