- Lake Eyre is extraordinary. It is covered by salt pans in dry weather and bursts into life with wildlife of birds, especially pelicans etc. The views from a scenic flight are amazing. We also spotted the mysterious Marree Man on the way. It is one of the largest geoglyphs in the world standing 4.2 km. tall
