Well, there was also a case of a female anesthesiologist who was recorded mocking her sedated male patient, and her entire team was laughing with her as she mocked him during the procedure. She didn't rape him, but she was mocking him, his body, and saying that she wanted to "Punch his face the moment she met him.", etc.

Well, I believe that either the law and/or the patients bill of rights states that you have a right to request that a 'chaperone' be present. But you have to let them know ahead of time.

Safety measures like vaccines and MASKS have Covid under control, but it's not over. The accused man is on trial for his alleged crimes. The judge and jury will hear his case and hopefully render justice. In some places, depending on who the victims vs accused are, charges aren't even filed, so I'm just glad justice is being pursued.

Most crimes are crimes of opportunity. Why are patients not being wheeled in to a communal recovery room? When I had my gall bladder removed I asked ths anestheseologist to sedate me the lightest way possible. I wanted to be awake the minute the staff wheeled me out of the operating room. And he did. I had women out cold to the left and right of me while I was awake and lucid, as I requested.

After having worked at a NYC medical center and also having had colonoscopy myself, I cannot comprehend how this could have happened. So many staff are around - the recovery nurses, aides, janitorial staff, anesthesia, etc. The risks this man took to fulfill his compulsion, even performing in front of surveillance cameras! I am dumbfounded.

From what was said in this report, the sexual abuses took place outside the procedure rooms, where other staff is always present to observe and assist. Such areas where staff presence is not required would be exam rooms (if the doctor is simply interviewing an awake patient pre procedure) and the recovery area. It is not uncommon for the MD to visit a recovering patient behind curtains, in order to provide a bit of privacy. The purpose of this visit is to impart results of the procedure to the patients. No physical exam should be happening at that time, so nursing staff are not required to attend. But they are working in the general vicinity, right on the other side of the curtains. At some point, the staff must have wondered what time consuming activity this doctor was engaged in behind those drawn curtains. That’s where things get strange. Most docs say hello to their patients, give them the results of the procedure and then depart quickly to attend to other duties. A doc who lingers more than a few brief minutes definitely would seem suspicious.
Anesthesia is heavily regulated and usually has to be checked out and is audited - so how is he sedating people without anyone finding anything suspicious? Sue the hospital too...

I’m just in total shock right now. Speechless. I just got off my shift went on the internet and found out about this just minutes ago. I went to medical school with this guy. He was a brilliant student. I never thought his career would end up this way.
Went through something similar, not as rigorous as med school- but I did go to massage school and one of my fellow students asked me several times during and after school ended to do trades… I never got around to accepting but about a year later I saw him on the news getting busted for placing a secret camera in the spa rooms. I was in total shock and so glad I never got around to trading with him otherwise I would have surely been another victim.

They were in recovery where he violated them. Recovery rooms are not monitored.

@@jerseyfinest7152 I'm s Nurse, and we don't leave the patient with the Doctor. Someone needs to continue to monitor the vitals while the Doctor is performing the Colonoscopy, and the Anesthesiologist assistant stays with the patient while they're under.
Ive had two colonoscopys and prior to going under there were at least 3 nurses in the room.
Are you certain they stayed while you were under? (asking for a friend)

@carltonwalton9819 I work at an endoscopy center and during the procedure there is an anesthesiologist, a nurse, and two technicians in the room. There isn't a moment during the actual procedure where the doctor is left alone with the patient.
@@carltonwalton9819 In the procure room you are not left alone. Now when you are in recovering room. There is usually a nurse watching over two/three patients at a time. But that nurse never leaves and can see her patients at all times.. (At least that how it is here).

Well, I don't think you need to worry about him working with patients. If he is found guilty of even ONE of these accusations, the State of New York will most likely pull his medical license.
But, he will get out, and get his license back. There are thousands of doctors doing the most inappropriate things to vulnerable patients, and they get their licenses back. He should have to be on a sex offenders registry, AND there should be a registry that patients can look up their doctors on that lists their crimes. Many hide their criminal offenses. They are supposed to self report. Yeah, they do that . . . .many just move to another state that doesn't even bother to check criminal records.

A colonoscopy is already a very uncomfortable (yet very important!) procedure and he violated these women at their most vulnerable moments! It takes years to become a doctor and he threw his life away being a sexual predator! Patients, you need to ALWAYS make sure you have a chaperone (a nurse or another medical staff member) present whenever you have any procedures done where you are sedated and/or disrobed. Not blaming these women in any way, of course, but we have to advocate for our safety, especially if you are a woman.
