These are pretty stereotypical answers to any Oregon native. You want some real ominous haunted eerie feeling shit? Go to the ghost towns out in the central Oregon high desert. I’m talking places like antelope and shaniko. I’m telling you you just feel uneasy driving through those places.. Antelope is where the Rajneesh sex cult set up shop back in the 80’s but I think shaniko is freakier.. it’s a small, small town (if you can call it that) that used to be a booming railroad stop and the wool making capitol of the world in the early 1900’s. Now there’s nothing but a gas station, ice cream shop, post office, cafe, and a hotel. I stopped in here driving by just looking for a bathroom. Gas station was closed but said there’s a bathroom at the hotel. So I walk to the hotel passed the closed ice cream shop and closed post office.. Both of these buildings by the way have mannequins staring at you through a window by the way. I make it to the hotel which says open so I go to open the door and boom it’s open! I go inside… No one. I ring the little bell at the desk, no one. I walk around through the lobby over to the little dining area, no one. I walked through this hotel for 30 minutes and did not encounter a single living soul. IM SORRY HAS ANYONE EVER WALKED THROUGH AN EMPTY HOTEL THATS OPEN FOR BUSINESS YOU FOUND IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EMPTY TOWN FULL OF MANNEQUINS IN THE DESERT???
Thanks for checking out this video @chuckyd7366. As native Oregonians ourselves we know there are SO many haunted places in our state, especially in Central Oregon, and will be releasing more videos with some of these locations in the future. Have you had a chance to visit any of these other spooky spots before?
I actually stayed at the compound that cult set up shop at for my 'senior skip day' thing back in '08, it was surprisingly nice. I have no idea what the school officials were thinking booking that place for a bunch of 18 year olds to go hang out, or if they were being completely honest with us about where we stayed.

I checked into the lighthouse and found nothing about the missing girl (The story tells you it's not true), but there was death's. A keeper was found dead inside the morning after he had a heart attack, the article said he was fully dedicated to his job (maybe he's still doing his job). A man doing repairs fell from the lighthouse dying soon after (could be the man people say they see falling). Another man was doing work near the lighthouse and falling. The closest I found to a female dying connected to the lighthouse, was a 33yr old woman who's father worked at the lighthouse when she was a child (She passed away suddenly at her home). I am co-founder of a paranormal group, and I don't chase down made of ghost stories. But like this location, stories get mixed up "But that don't mean there's not a incident which could cause a haunting". If I go to a haunted location I don't want to be rude calling a spirit by the wrong name, or getting the reason surrounding their death wrong. I love all lighthouses and hope to see this one, I don't need a ghost to be drawn to a lighthouse "The view is plenty enough reason".

@FrightNightScares I do not. Never actually visited it. There is a graveyard I lived across the street from as a child that at times was very creepy. It was on 23rd and Morrison In Portland OR

I found out about a ghost town in the mountains just this summer, been to it twice now and it always leaves me feeling kinda spooked. It's near-ish to Cottage Grove. You can actually see the tailing piles from the mine on google with the satellite view, it's called Bohemia City/Bohemia Mines. The whole region is just littered with old mine adits. I've been trying to figure out what's out there around Crystal Lake and Elephant Lake and can't find any information.
I stumbled across the Bohemia Mines when I was staying in an old ranger station up there. What a delightful surprise that was! And the ruins were awesome. Clearly not visited often.
I was raised in Ashland all my childhood & into my 30’s from the 60’s 70s 80s 90s … Moved back home in my 40s for awhile so it’s safe to say .. I’ve spent a lot of time at Lithia Park !! have you guys ever been out to the abandoned tiny town near wolf creek? I went out there. there’s sheds, a school, a church and a little graveyard (any maybe more?) it’s really interesting. a couple of the buildings out there are locked up, but the school is open. there are a few dolls sitting in the seats, it was pretty scary but overall amazing
*I am a born and raised Oregonian. My children are second-generation, and my grandchildren are third-generation Oregonians. I can assure you that Yaquina Lighthouse IS haunted, but NOT by the person that this video claims. My dad took pictures inside the top of the lighthouse in the 60s. In the 90s, my parents and I decided to look at some of the old slides that my father had taken over the years when we were growing up. I GASPED when the picture of Yaquina Lighthouse came up!! At first, I thought that it was an optical illusion, so I took the slide into a professional and had an actual photo made from the slide. There was an image of an Indian chief that covered the picture. The image was actually on the slide itself, as God is my witness!! I wish that I still had the slide, but someone took it years ago. I should have never shown it to so many people!! It was so amazing and eerie at the same time!!*
Thanks for checking out this upload and for sharing that personal story @firewaterbydesign. That is very cool and interesting and we're also sad that you no longer have the slide. Have you had a chance to visit Yaquina yourself?
@FrightNightScares *Oh, yes!! I lived on the Oregon coast for 35+ years. My children were raised on the coast. I actually survived the climb to the top 🔝 of the lighthouse about 20 years ago!! However, the pictures that I took were not nearly as interesting as the one that my dad took in the 60s!! I took several with the hope of catching something.......anything, but nothing.*
GOLD BEACH HAD A TOMBSTONE THAT GLOWED AT NIGHT IN THE 70S. GRAVEYARD WAS ON A HILL. AS U DROVE INTO TOWN ON 101 FROM THE SOUTH.WE WOULD OFTEN TRY 2 FIND IT GLOWING IN THE GRAVEYARD. EVENTUALLY THE TREES GREW TALL AND BLOCKED THE GLOW FROM 101.
Thanks for checking out this video @kellythomas545. We also thinks Ashland is super beautiful. Can you share some of the witchy tales you heard about Lithia Park?
Yea I was born in medford and when I was in high-school my buddies would go over to lithia and hang out, we would always try to scare each other...lol.
A friend working at the Oregon State Hospital saw a couple dressed in clothing from the 1860 walking down the hall in the Kirkbride Building holding hands. This a couple of years ago. She watched them, turned away, turned back and they were gone.
Thanks for checking out this upload @jackfischer5153. That sounds like a pretty spooky experience from your friend. Have you personally had a chance to explore any of these haunted places before?
BigFoot is Not the Problem in Oregon's Forest's! They Don't Scare me' not one little Bit'! No... IT'S. . the Other'... Thing's'... out There'... At Dusk' Til DAWN'! As soon as IT Even Starts to get'... Dusk' At All'...>-> Home'! >-> NOW'!
We've stayed there multiple times and been allowed to look through the "Ghost Book" at leisure! It's a crazy, creepy place... but so beautiful, and always a good time. Have you spent much time there?
There are also underground tunnels at 2nd and Yamhill. by the max train stop. next to the Peterson's convenience store. that's where I was told the bathroom was when I worked there, one night I locked the store and went down there to pee. creepy ass place. I was in and out. didn't explore. it was a huge place. may have connected to the Shanghai not far away. Old man Peterson had other stores downtown with similar underground tunnels.
I can tell you first hand that OSH was haunted. I worked there in the 90s when they had the original building up & in use along with the 50 building which was built in the 50 across the street that is now torn down & replaced with apartments. The tunnels were also open during the 90s but are now no longer in use. I can you, you didn’t want to be down there at dark or ever alone. I never saw anything but did feel cold spots, heard things, & felt presents on many occasions.
Thanks so much for checking out this upload and sharing that personal experience with us @latriciastraw239. Feeling and hearing those things sounds pretty spooky. Have you had the chance to visit any of these other Oregon haunts?
My main issue is with the whole "feelings of being watched" thing. For probably the majority of people, just connecting a story like these to a specific location, would be enough to give them "feelings of being watched", don't you think? Otherwise some good storytelling.
Fairview Training Center in Salem off Old Strong rd. Def haunted. I wonder if the new homes/apartments built over the old site experience super natural events…🧐
We hear they absolutely do. We're local here in Oregon, so we often do a little deeper research or on-site investigations ourselves. Have you been to any of these other haunts?
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @NewEnglandOtaku. We're re-doing and re-vamping many of our videos to correct wrong information and give some more, in depth detail about the locations we cover. Is there anything you'd like to see us cover in the future?
The Shanghaied thing isn't necessarily about drugging or making drunk, more the kidnapping part. They literally had trap doors to fall from under people. They even had a system to come up behind people and physically knock them out.
Thanks for checking out this upload @captainblack3043. That sounds like a truly terrifying experience. Have you gotten a chance to explore any of these other Oregon haunts before?
The ducks at Lithia park are evil, they’ll harass you and bite your toes when you’re laying in the grass 😂 I’ve never encountered the hauntings, but I’ve always heard about them. Also love the cello guy!
Its too bad that they filled in the tunnels Under the Oregon State Hospital but they are creepy. I believe its haunted by the lost souls that were tortured & died there &/or only knew the place as home.
Table Rock is also haunted. Hear many stories of seeing soldiers, story is they chased Indians on top of the flat and the indians had nowhere to go but jump off motain.
Portland.. i lived in Gresham for a few years. And ive got some info to add to this .. out of place city that isnt talked about. The waterfront. Y'all.. that wasn't always there. It used to be old world buildings. But, mid-late 1800's that all changed when the suits showed up and took over, corrupted, included themselves and their "police" in all the gambling and "lottery" (that's rigged. Still. But i digress) love shacks.., liquor trade, underground everything.. even in the Chinatown district. So the waterfront. All the buildings were taken apart brick by brick and sold elsewhere as an "origin wonder/work of art" that coincidentally burned within 2 years of competition. And coincidentally, in the areas that held historical documents/relics/artifacts.. When the waterfront was completed, in the early 1900's, it flooded that entire area. Covering up more old world stuff. They didn't "take into account of the extra rain fall".. which is just bs. Because why wouldn't that ever be a factor for building these type of things. The residents of the area were forced out. Couldn't return to salvage anything. Sounds familiar.
I’m curious if Muriel trevenard was even real? I’m sure we would have had very old articles about her father asking for help..? It’s just a story made up unfortunately. Sad to say but it would have been awesome if it was real.
It's weird... the other times I've heard Muriel's story was in connection with the Yaquina BAY Lighthouse... the one actually in Newport. As a child, we used to drive up to Yaquina Head Light not infrequently. This was back in the 1970's before any improvements were made. I don't know about it being haunted, but the drive there used to terrify me... steep drop off into the ocean on one side... a cliff going up on the other... very narrow and possibly gravel at parts. And if you came upon another vehicle coming the opposite direction... I'd cower on the side of the car furthest from the ocean drop. lol I really need to go up there one of these days. I'm sure the road has been much improved since the "good old days"! lol
When I was little my family took a walk through Lithia park. My little brother who was maybe 3 at the time was walking directly behind me. We were talking, then he stopped responding. I looked back and he was suddenly drowning in the nearby water, without a sound or splash. I yelled for my mom who dove in and rescued him and he was fine. But that situation never sat well with me and always seemed very strange. I am not surprised to hear legends of potentially vengeful spirits there.
Hike out to sailors diggings in Waldo Oregon area find the monument hike up to the top of the mountain and down and find the Chinese graveyard and you'll hear the Chinese screaming out

The whole PNW revolves around Bend. Like literally. It's a tectonic plate and Bend is right on the fulcrum.
Salem Oregon here ❤ love the vid
Well done thank you.
Let’s go Oregon imma take my mom to one of these places to show her the stuff I like to explore
There is a haunted cemetery in Lafayette from the 1800’s !
Was born in Ashland, used to play in lithia Park. Only heard tales about witches. Beautiful place!
Thanks for checking out this video @kellythomas545. We also thinks Ashland is super beautiful. Can you share some of the witchy tales you heard about Lithia Park?
@@FrightNightScaresCovens practice around Lithia. Lived here for decades, and I’ve only heard of the blue lady. Thanks for the new.
Yea I was born in medford and when I was in high-school my buddies would go over to lithia and hang out, we would always try to scare each other...lol.
I live a few miles from Lithia Park been there so many times, never seen or hear anything. But the S O U campus now that's a whole different story!
>-> NOW'!
If you do a part 2, you should look into The Hot Lake Hotel in Eastern Oregon.
Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution is also haunted. Used to work there and had a lot of experiences with it.
that's the one Ken Kesey worked at I think. he wrote One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest from his experiences.
Mcmenamins edgefield, where my sister in law works, she shared some ghost stories, and it hunted
#6 is the house I used to live in
I can tell you first hand that OSH was haunted.
Cluttered with dirty livestock? Like, piles of cows???
Thanks for checking out this video @pidginmac. Have you had the chance to explore any of these haunted Oregon locations before?
My main issue is with the whole "feelings of being watched" thing. For probably the majority of people, just connecting a story like these to a specific location, would be enough to give them "feelings of being watched", don't you think? Otherwise some good storytelling.
the way bro explained where in oregon he grew up makes me think he grew up in burns or alsea or somewhere small like that
Fairview Training Center in Salem off Old Strong rd. Def haunted. I wonder if the new homes/apartments built over the old site experience super natural events…🧐
We hear they absolutely do. We're local here in Oregon, so we often do a little deeper research or on-site investigations ourselves. Have you been to any of these other haunts?
I was too afraid to go inside the cave 😮
Thanks for tuning in @aprils6154. We don't blame you! Have you visited any of the other haunted spots in this video?
Forest Park is haunted, especially MacCleay park. So is Edgefield Manor.
From Hillsboro Oregon been though Ashland 😊
I thought oregon was an insane asylum 😂
I used to work security in Portland oregon and alot of places I worked at were haunted.
It will always be cape foul weather to me.
Is this a re-upload? I feel like I seen this before..
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @NewEnglandOtaku. We're re-doing and re-vamping many of our videos to correct wrong information and give some more, in depth detail about the locations we cover. Is there anything you'd like to see us cover in the future?
@@FrightNightScares more oregon!
Wouldn’t live anywhere else!
Growing up omg the town I live in is boring. But then you find its not as boring.
The Shanghaied thing isn't necessarily about drugging or making drunk, more the kidnapping part. They literally had trap doors to fall from under people. They even had a system to come up behind people and physically knock them out.
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @SKULLkidDEATHOMATIC. Have you had a chance to visit the tunnels yourself?
Something grabbed my hand in a way that felt like help me .Shanghai tunnel oregon tour.
Thanks for checking out this upload @captainblack3043. That sounds like a truly terrifying experience. Have you gotten a chance to explore any of these other Oregon haunts before?
That would be a job hard to work at .lighthouse worker was something else .I'm not that old or have ever been one I read .
What about the Temple of Oculus Anubis
oregon Gp been my home since 1997
Table Rock is also haunted. Hear many stories of seeing soldiers, story is they chased Indians on top of the flat and the indians had nowhere to go but jump off motain.
He forgot to say One flew over the cuckoos nest was filmed that the hospital not a flatting movie for them
Also highway 101 also

Thanks for the love @ledesmamarczynski8018. Have you visited any of these spooky Oregon spots yourself?
Love to go see I fid giting a Towr ezeey
Considering the town of Port Ordord is the most haunted place in Oregon, I think you missed some of the actual most haunted places.😂
AYE A FELLOW OREGONIAN?!!! Portland doesn't count as Oregon
Whatever. 🙄
Born and raised in Oregon and not in Portland or it's surrounding area. I consider Portland very much a part of Oregon. lol
Explain why it isn’t? I’m confused
You sound like one of the Greater Idaho Initiative bigots
If we're stuck with Seattle, you're stuck with Portland 😂
Portland.. i lived in Gresham for a few years.
❤️ Ashland
I'd cower on the side of the car furthest from the ocean drop. lol
I really need to go up there one of these days. I'm sure the road has been much improved since the "good old days"! lol
Gales Creek, Oregon
When I was little my family took a walk through Lithia park. My little brother who was maybe 3 at the time was walking directly behind me. We were talking, then he stopped responding. I looked back and he was suddenly drowning in the nearby water, without a sound or splash. I yelled for my mom who dove in and rescued him and he was fine. But that situation never sat well with me and always seemed very strange. I am not surprised to hear legends of potentially vengeful spirits there.
Hike out to sailors diggings in Waldo Oregon area find the monument hike up to the top of the mountain and down and find the Chinese graveyard and you'll hear the Chinese screaming out
Hay hay Oregonian what's up we should get a group together to go hunting for this just to check this out
As an Oregonian born and raised I don’t consider Portland part of Oregon hahaha
Is it because you kind of hate people who aren’t just like you?
Yaquina Head Lighthouse is so pretty, it is strange to think of it as haunted.
Did not release the Gays incarcerated in this hospital until 1980. Was done in Ca in '67 by Ronnie only because he was a cheapskate.
The old fairview
I didn’t know Lithia Park is haunted
Nether did I, live within a mile of Lithia park and I have never hear of these.
I was born here in Portland Oregon
Condolences
Thanks so much for checking out this video @deanhicks8878. We love the PNW! Have you been to any of the haunted places in PDX or Oregon?
@@ListlessPirate The forebodingly dense forests and tall tales of enlightened leftists is how we keep out the riffraff. Stay away from Oregon.... 👻

Yeah it's funny that the name of our city came down to a coin toss.
Excuse me, Portland is the capital of Oregon. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Some states have another one of the same one but the capital of Oregon is Portland.
The capital of oregon is Salem.
Salem is the capital.
Do you even live in Oregon? I work for the State and I'm telling you. Salem is the damn capital! I've been in the capital many times.
