Coming from the 1960's Love / Peace generation, we had our protest to the war songs, and they were very thought provoking, but this, This song goes way beyond anything I've ever seen or witnessed . You can't actually watch this then move on to the next video. It leaves you stunned with so many thoughts. Dimash is so much more than just a singer, and I can't think of one singer that I know of in all my years on this planet that even fall into the shadow of Dimash. What an amazing man he is ~! Isaiah, I've been a Dimash Dear (fan) for going on 3 years now. I have heard and seen some pretty spectacular things from him. He's the greatest singer in the world and one incredible humanitarian. This music video is the most expensive one to date, even more so than Thriller. 13 minutes, 41 seconds. He made EVERY second count. I was captivated from beginning to end, not only by his insane vocals, but by the powerful message he gave us. Those guttural rock screams at the end were gut wrenching and powerful. He showed us over 4 octaves of vocal range and 5 musical genres. He is also a great actor. I was moved to endless tears. My heart was racing so fast. Everyone involved in this epic masterpiece was incredible. I agree, this MV should win all possible awards. A pure masterpiece. Thank you for your genuine reaction, Isaiah.

On the evening of September 24, the dream of the richest and most famous young artist in Kazakhstan, a 28-year-old Dimash Kudaibergenov. The artist, who conquered Asia, Europe and even America with his fantastic voice, presented to the public a video clip for the song “The Story of One Sky” (“The Story of One Sky”). This 12-minute clip is, according to Dimash, the most expensive music video in history. The Kazakh singer spent more than $7,000,000 and three years of his life on its creation. It is noteworthy that he wrote the script for the video himself. Until today, the video for the song “Scream” by the late King of Pop Michael Jackson was considered the most expensive video in history. The next three lines were occupied by videos for Madonna’s songs “Die Another Day”, “Express Yourself” and “Bedtime Story”, and the video for the song “Estranged” by Guns N’ Roses closed the top five. The artist performed the song The Story of One Sky for the first time at the Seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which was held in Astana (Nur-Sultan) in mid-September. One of the listeners was Pope Francis, who later met with Dimash and presented him with a commemorative medal. The director Alina Veripa told about the creation of the music video for the new song. The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.

Dimash met and spoke with both at the September meeting, at the seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Nur-Sultan (Astana), Kazakhstan. (Dimash also performed this song during the artistic program of the congress). Dimash composed the music for this piece, and wrote the script for the video, during the last 3 years. There are several symbols that he put in the video. Some of the elements have been noticed by other youtube users. - the pendant - it`s the blade of a maritime compass (source : youtube user Snarky Tart) - and it`s possibly a symbol of the moral compass. (youtube user : Heiderose Kober). Dimash the child puts on his first (symbolically, you take care of your own moral compass, before you interact with others). Then he gifts one to each of his friends. The second boy never accepts the pendant - then the camera focuses on his hand, showing us that he has bent it in his fist in anger that the girl didn`t choose him - bent, the blade is unable to point at True North anymore, a symbol of him losing his moral compass. Throughout his life, he never puts it around his neck, he always keeps it in his fist, bent, as a reminder that he has been "wronged", holding on to resent, which will alter his judgement. As an adult, he becomes the Antagonist, the General, with a twisted idea of a "saving war" : “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” (dimashnews) The shape of the pendant, twisted, also appears on the uniforms of his soldiers. - Dimash and the girl, adults, are husband and wife, they have a daughter, and the wife is pregnant with their second child. Dimash`s character, the Protagonist, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his daughter. - "we have passed the moment of 'Imagine'" - reference to John Lennon`s song "Imagine" - Dimash makes the point that we are past the moment when we could afford passively "imagining" a world of peace, with no divisions, "the night is falling, fate is tightening the noose", our wrong decisions are catching up to us - and we have to actively change our way of doing things, starting with ourselves, and not passively "imagining a better world", while continuing to do the same wrong things. - the burning sign "Waldenberg" - is a reference to the end of World War II when the US Army destroyed the last resistance of the German Wehrmacht to end the war in 1945. The city Waldenburg was completely destroyed. Many of the people killed in the bombed buildings were women and children. Evil was defeated, but at a very high price. - "Adam kerwen ömir jol" - the phrase in growl register, while Dimash kneels and hugs his daughter that was killed : "Life of Man is long and dangerous journey, one must be careful" (with the choices he makes) - I believe the meaning of this kazakh proverb, and it`s placement in the video, highlight once again the importance of choices and their consequences - marking the most difficult moment of the video : the discovery of the innocent child that was killed = the darkest misery of war, everybody lost, including the "resistance" against the dictator, that "was doing the right thing", but way too late, at the point when everybody loses. (at the point of self defense, when non-aggressors have to choose aggression themselves, and nobody comes out of it unscathed) Leaving no room for "glory for the good guys", like other movies do. Death of a child speaks loud and clear to anyone watching that no one can claim that they are on the "right" side of something that lead to the death of a child. - the shofar - the horn that is blown by one of the pilgrims (pilgrims who symbolize the spiritual journey of humanity) - The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humanity when it passes from evil to good: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and thus mercy is awakened and judgment is removed. - in the face of the consequences of their wrong choices (after the darkest moment of discovering the little girl killed) people repent, the pilgrim in the symbolical parallel blows the shofar, and God`s mercy pours over humanity, and assists the woman giving birth, giving Man yet another chance at new life, and better choices. Hello Isaiah, This is my 6th time listening and watching this mini movie /music video and I still can’t help having goosebumps. Dimash has expressed in many occasions his sentiments about war & peace. They call him the ambassador of peace in Kazakhstan. He uses his magnificent vocals to express himself how he feels about war. And in this music video, he finally shown the effects of war that destroys every relationships, peoples’ lives and nothing good comes out of the effects of war. He chose life & peace . Coming from the 1960's Love / Peace generation, we had our protest to the war songs, and they were very thought provoking, but this, This song goes way beyond anything I've ever seen or witnessed . Isaiah, I've been a Dimash Dear (fan) for going on 3 years now. I have heard and seen some pretty spectacular things from him. He's the greatest singer in the world and one incredible humanitarian. This music video is the most expensive one to date, even more so than Thriller. 13 minutes, 41 seconds. He made EVERY second count. I was captivated from beginning to end, not only by his insane vocals, but by the powerful message he gave us. Those guttural rock screams at the end were gut wrenching and powerful. He showed us over 4 octaves of vocal range and 5 musical genres. He is also a great actor. I was moved to endless tears. My heart was racing so fast. This 12-minute clip is, according to Dimash, the most expensive music video in history. The Kazakh singer spent more than $7,000,000 and three years of his life on its creation. It is noteworthy that he wrote the script for the video himself.

- the burning sign "Waldenberg" - is a reference to the end of World War II when the US Army destroyed the last resistance of the German Wehrmacht to end the war in 1945. The city Waldenburg was completely destroyed. Many of the people killed in the bombed buildings were women and children. Evil was defeated, but at a very high price.
- "Adam kerwen ömir jol" - the phrase in growl register, while Dimash kneels and hugs his daughter that was killed : "Life of Man is long and dangerous journey, one must be careful" (with the choices he makes) - I believe the meaning of this kazakh proverb, and it`s placement in the video, highlight once again the importance of choices and their consequences - marking the most difficult moment of the video : the discovery of the innocent child that was killed = the darkest misery of war, everybody lost, including the "resistance" against the dictator, that "was doing the right thing", but way too late, at the point when everybody loses. (at the point of self defense, when non-aggressors have to choose aggression themselves, and nobody comes out of it unscathed) Leaving no room for "glory for the good guys", like other movies do. Death of a child speaks loud and clear to anyone watching that no one can claim that they are on the "right" side of something that lead to the death of a child.
- the shofar - the horn that is blown by one of the pilgrims (pilgrims who symbolize the spiritual journey of humanity) - The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humanity when it passes from evil to good: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. - Dimash's "son" played by Dimash : can represent both Dimash`s son, a new generation, a new chance to choose the right path, and also Man, after "choosing life", after breaking the cycle, after being bathed, or "baptized", in the primordial water of Mercy - expressed visually by the shirt, that looks like it was soaked in water at some point - the faint stain of blood shows that, and also represents the faint mark of the past, when all the choices, of the "bad" people, and of the "good" people, the aggression, and the self-defense against aggression, it all lead to everyone getting hurt. This is my 6th time listening and watching this mini movie /music video and I still can’t help having goosebumps. Dimash has expressed in many occasions his sentiments about war & peace. They call him the ambassador of peace in Kazakhstan. He uses his magnificent vocals to express himself how he feels about war. And in this music video, he finally shown the effects of war that destroys every relationships, peoples’ lives and nothing good comes out of the effects of war. He chose life & peace . And at the last scene where his grown up son chose to be a plain shepherd / messenger and travels to talk about peace, love & harmony among people in the world. I could see your discomfort watching this mini movie not because you don’t like it but the message of the movie that is so powerful reaches every one’s heart and inner feelings and I saw that in you while reacting to this magnificent video. 🙏🙏🙏

The Story Of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent
rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story Of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end. This video needs to be shown worldwide

This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
Story: (Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service)
The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow pointer of a sundial, which was also used as a maritime compass before antiquity.
One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one.
The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle.
By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.”
The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge.
However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace.
A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?
