I have to admit that I have watched your videos more than once! I am enthralled! You make this look easy! Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your art. Keep up the great work girl. Jim
I was imagining this technique the other day, but haven’t yet tried it... and now here it is! Absolutely gorgeous!! Can’t wait to try 😁 Thanks for sharing.
You make it look so simple. It definitely pays to stop and look at it as you're doing it, slight adjustments needed and dang you have an art piece. Love it!
I subscribed the first time I saw your work.... so beautiful, so free in spirit and so inspiring! I am totally captivated by your creations. Thank you for sharing.
An amazing technique demonstrated so perfectly and to stunning effect. It would be good to know some technical info such as: the weight of the paper, type of paper and colours used. Always love watching Lena at work. Thanks :)
@@lenagemze662 thanks, Lena. I've shown your videos to some members of my art group and we may be focussing on your technique. It makes watercolour so exciting to use! Thanks for the inspiration. 😊

Thank you for sharing this! I was feeling very adrift and bored of what I was creating and practicing. I saw this video, felt the freedom, and tried my own hand at this. And you know what...it was so enjoyable! Plus there is a real beauty in "simply" watching someone's process.
I just LOVE abstract arts. Watercolors are at the top! Your works are to me inspirational and I feel same as you when a color infuses, or runs due to your 'Stylings' keep the good works going.😍
@@lenagemze662 you have inspired me soo much... like you're dancing and painting and showing us a piece of you... "art consists in making others feel what we feel" Fernando Pessoa" Tak!
The paper is cardboard and not made for watercolouring. It does not suck very much paint - it runs on the surface during the process. The water in one tub is usually a little dirty (Then I can see, where I put the water on the paper. The other is clean if i.e. I want to add yellow colour, otherwise it will not turn out yellow.
Even if I die and go to Heaven, this magic will not happen. I am a watercolour artist. Reminded me of Clint Eastwood in the movie"For a few dollars more". AWESOME.

Thank you! The oldest is more than 30 years. But I still use them for painting and I still love them. And here in Denmark most people are wearing only black, and it depresses me. So I have to colourup life.
Thank you! In this video I don't use watercolour paper, but cardboard 470g. It is coated with chalk on both sides, and is much cheaper than watercolour paper.
Thank you. Water in both! One with dirty water which enables me to see where I put the water at the beginning. The other is with clean water to enable clear colours.
The paper size doesn't matter. It is cardboard 400 g - the thicker the less it cockles! It is not made for watercolour painting, but it has to be acidfree if you paint professional.
Yes, as other poster stated, it's the weight and type of paper. Some professional artist will even order special types of paper by the sheet, and they're pricey. I noticed how the water and paint flowed, as if it was on glass, and not one buckle! I have some mixed media paper, that seems to work a bit like this.
@@swifty120 You can use whatever you have, but if it is for professional use and it is paper, it must be acidfree. But it is possible to paint on stone paper too.
This is truly stunning, and beautiful!! With just a few colors if that, the sweeping technique, this is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your technique in watercolors! I've just subscribed, and am honored to have found you!!😘💖🎨🌹
I use some kind of carton with a thin layer of clay. This carton is very cheep, and maybe you can get it in all kinds of office or art stores. It is just normal professional water colour. I don't know if you can use acrylic - I never did - but try it out!!!

Stunning. Can you tell me...in your first tub you obviously have water...whats in the smaller second tub you dipped your brush into? X
Both are with water. If the water is a bit dirty, I can better see, where the paper is wet in the beginning,

just mesmerising to watch - is the paper hot pressed and why 2 tubs of water does one have something extra in it ????
The paper is cardboard and not made for watercolouring. It does not suck very much paint - it runs on the surface during the process. Hello Lena. I stumble on your video demonstrations just now, by chance. I would love to see more of those. You don't do it anymore?
A new video is coming very soon - maybe this week!
Beautiful but how do you stop your paper curling and rippling? What weight/grain of paper do you use? Thanks...
Dawn Smart Because it is not watercolour paper. It is cardboard maybe 400 g but also 5,6,700 g works.
wow!!!
Is that just water in the two plastic containers or what do you have in them? This is magnificent! Bravo!
