Hey I know this video was posted a while ago but im hoping to get some answers as im looking to book a disney trip for me and my family if we book the half board dining package will we be able to use it for dinner on our arrival date or does it only start from the next day/after the first night any help would be apreciated as trying to work out budgets
Thank you for the information. Do you know if on the last day we would like to go to an all you can eat rather than a quick service restaurant can you top it up?
Hi Coolpasty. This is a great question. I cannot be 100% sure as the guidance doesn’t specify if there is any restriction between quick service to buffet etc but the below guidance seems to suggest this should be fine: What happens if the cost of my meal is more or less than the value of the Meal Plan voucher in my Magic Pass? If the total amount to pay exceeds the value of the meal, you will have to pay the difference. No refund will be issued if the total is lower than the value of the meal included in your Meal Plan. Have a great trip!
Very informative video. Thanks. You say that even though the menus are fixed for dining plans, I could get a la carte and pay the difference. What is the value of a half board plus for lunch/dinner? It is probably not the price per day, as breakfast is included as well, but how much is breakfast worth in the half board?
Hi Tanja. It will vary Hotel to Hotel, but as a rough price. The Half board plus option costs EUR 71.50 a day. This loosely splits as EUR 25-35 for breakfast and the remainder for lunch or dinner (many of the la carte dining plan menus and buffets are around the EUR 35-45 option). Some Hotels breakfast buffets are more expensive than others. When we used our breakfast credit towards a Plaza Gardens character breakfast I think we received EUR 35 off the total cost each. Santa Fe is the cheapest and the Disneyland Hotel one is the most expensive breakfast buffets. A 3 course a la carte lunch or dinner in Walts is EUR 55 and is included on the plus dining plan so it can pay to 'shop around' and choose the more expensive options where they are included'. Hope this is helpful and have a great next trip!
Hi coleyd00. The premium option is only available for guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel. If you’re staying there and like character dining, this might be something you want to upgrade to. Have a great trip!
Thanks!
Your welcome :)
Great video thanks, does the standard option include a drink with your meal?
Hi Leigh. It. varies place to place. Often it includes a soft drink at buffets but not always and less often for table service meals.
Excellent guide! Thank you 👍
Great video - very informative and answered questions we had! Thank you
Thank you Adam! This is really helpful as we’re planning our first trip. It’s very different to Disney World’s plans!
Glad it was helpful. Have an amazing trip!
Really informative video - thank you . Can I please ask where the buffet was on the first intro clip ?
Hi Annie. The first clip after the intro titles? If so, that’s Downtown buffet at the Marvel, Art of New York Hotel. Best wishes.
@@AHDisney thank you :)
