  • P = proportional gain, compares the rate given by rx with the existing and the difference will be multiplied with this and the gyro gain, output to servo.
I = integral, heading gain, compares the angle difference over time and gives out the difference to the servo multiplied by this value and the gyro gain
Stop gain is like more P gyro gain at a tail stop. When Vbar detects a stop, the gain will be increased during the stop to make it more crisp. A is with and B against the torque. But ... this values have only effects when the tail won't reach the aerodynamical limits of course. You can try to increase about 10 points one side, try and then the other side. Using bank switching you will be able to test out and cross check in one flight.
to reverse precomp just add a - negative mark in the precomp box

great advice and I dont hate you. I thank you for getting me in the air and getting me started with the Kbar. But I have found to reduce tail kick out raise the I Gain.

Hi. Nice explanation on tail tuning! I'm currently trying to build a low headspeed 450, just for sport or scale flying, no 3d. Current headspeed is around 1900rpm, and i could get the tail nicely tuned (no drift, no wag, crisp stop, tail is optimized) but got a problem with the cyclic. Whenever after any cyclic input, the heli like to bounce back, rather than a crisp stop (not wagging, just a single bounce). Does it indicate a too low cyclic gain? Current gain is on 60 (for 450). Any input is appreciated, thanks..

Do you have any suggestions for a slow tail drift? Tail is pulling CW on me and cannot get it to straighten out. Any thoughts on VBAR/KBAR adjustments?
