Surprised you guys put that stuff back together so dirty. Good video otherwise tho. I have a 2018 and this is the video I’ll use when I do mine. This is the only video I have found also
I need help I just finished a top end rebuild on my 2018 Honda CRF250R, and now the light on the top left on the killswitch button keeps blinking orange for about a second, and doesn't stop. The bike is also very hard to start, and won't stay running. The bike sounds very good while running, and everything is in spec.
So you don't need to tune the EFI for the bigger bore? Because I thought you Needed a fuel controller as well? I'm curious because I have a 2012 crf250r, and I am going to put the 270cc big bore kit on it. Do I not need to do anything else other then set the timing? 🙏
NEED HELP! I put this big bore kit on my 2021 Crf250r. Started and idled perfectly. Took off slow and easy, it stalled I popped the clutch and it fired back up and got just a little more down the road and it stalled and won’t start at all. It won’t even try I have no idea.
It's hard to say without looking at it, but I would start by checking the cam timing and the valve lash. Also make sure there are no issues with the cam chain tensioner. -Charles.
You should be fine using your stock cylinder head. It may depend on the specific big bore kit you go with but our Cylinder Works big bore kit is designed to work with the original head.
Hi, I did a top end job on my bike and when I go to put the cam chain over the cams, it is way too short all of a sudden. I did not change my chain. Only piston, valves and springs. I have no idea where all the slack is. I have no slack at all to pull the chain over the cam gears. Any ideas? Thank you!
Im probably going to get one of this big bore kits! that extra power sounds pretty sweet
i have a 2022 crf250rx , does this video apply with the 2022 as well? thanks for the work you guys do.
Thank you for uploading this very helpful tutorial. Has helped me a lot!

Do you have to install bigger injectors or anything fuel related? Thanks!
You shouldn't need bigger injectors but you will want to adjust your EFI to get more fuel needed with the big bore kit.
How would you do that on a 2012 crf250r? Do you have a video on it?

Take the tensioner out. -Charles
I’m facing the same problem. Tensioner is taken out and I’m still having this issue.
