  • Nicky Horne is the only radio presenter to have regular shows on every national commercial radio station as well as BBC Radio 1 and 2. Nicky has met and interviewed just about everybody in the rock and roll industry. He tells Helen Boaden about the time he met John Lennon, David Bowie, and how Kenny Everrett named him 'Little Nicky Horne'

Brilliant interview. It brought me back to my teens and listening to Nicky on Capital Radio in the evenings. What a DJ and what a show he did. Lovely memories.

What an interesting Guy Nicky Horne is. Really enjoyed listening to this remarkable interview full of fascinating stories. These guys at Boom Radio don’t need to have an entourage around them whilst broadcasting to entertain their listeners , just pure professionalism and passion which they clearly have in abundance 🤩

Nicky is spot on, Boom knows its audience and caters so well for us boomers, great professional presenters and great music just for us , sadly BBC local is attempting the impossible, young people in general don’t listen to BBC local radio , I know lots of young people who have either not heard of BBC local or they simply do not listen, having said that BBC local does well sport, particularly football but totally out of touch with its music policy!
