Excellent video, these are places I have visited many times as far back as 30 years ago before hardly anyone knew about the area. As an X-pro VW mechanic, I would had been better transported there with the sounds of the vehicles and peoples voices rather than the music.
I've lived the VW life for 12ish years now but on the 20VT/1.8T/water cooled side, we've also gutted and campered out an awd Chevy astro that sleeps 3... I'd love to get my hands on one of these but in Texas they aren't cheap.
What a great tour. My Girlfriend and me are planing to ship our Syncro to the USA and visit the Southwest. It would be great if you could give me some informations for this trail. I love it, my girlfriend love it and the syncro will love it too. We really want to drive this route.
We were on many different trails. When you get to Moab, purchase the 4wd trail book from just about any store in town and get after the medium difficulty ones. Be careful on the difficult rated trails and ask around before you decide to try to tackle them. Look me up when you get here if you'd like a tour and our timing works.
Tom, whats the fiberglass topper on the white van? Is that some kind of aftermarket pop-top for the tinny? I have an 87' tin top- syncro and that looks pretty neat
I love nature and also its my dream to run a vw campus in mauritius i have bought one like in this video but lack of money it is finish today.i saw 2 bus at smeone place but dnt wat to do to rebuild it
Great video! I love wheeling around Moab, though my experience has been in Jeeps. One day maybe I'll finally get my Syncro out there. What tire pressures did you guys find best for your Syncros while running the trails?
Thanks for the recommendation. I find 10 minutes of the sound of vehicles driving through dirt and dead silence during photos a little dull. If there was a lot of talk and people included in the video I would tend to agree with you. To each their own. Hope you enjoyed otherwise.
Thanks. I think I ran mine at 20 lb while running in the sandy areas. Syncro Solstice is May 16-19 this year. Bring the Syncro :) Go to syncrosolsticedotcom

Utah is a beautifully awesome place to explore :)
