goo gone or goof off or warm soapy water to get glue residue off any surface, never take a razor blade or any other sharp metal object to a painted surface.
A great vid, thank you for uploading, with the particular 'Progrip' just make sure to purchase a proper version otherwise it will just wriggle off and drop away from the rim...
i like the part where you say that you like to leave the tape roll on the stand because it's easier and it unwraps itself, as you stop every 6 inches and unroll it yourself with your hands lol. seems like more struggle than just putting it on the ground.
Actually easy to have it unrolled and across the room lol In My Opinion. I suppose its best to.. I wasted a roll because it wanted to wrinkle and peel back off. Its sorta a pain to install even with stands. I may have rushed it tho. But +1 to ur input.
lol...well, if you want to take it to that level, then yeah, that's probably the easiest way. Nonetheless, the tape got put on and it looks nice. I guess that's all that matters.
Hey creighty9, Now the vid has 33k and counting views. As you should know only smart people research how to do things before they actually do it. Makes sense right?
To get the surface clean before applying tape I use clay bar. Much safer than a sharp blade and does a better job of removing road film and tar. After the clay bar I use brake cleaner to be sure it’s super clean.
He was cutting away rubber glue from wheel weights. Clay bar won't touch it but razor blade is Oh hell no! Tongue depressor or plastic scraper. After you scrape, you still need to use Alcohol anyway. Even if you use clay bar. You must remove ALL oils. Use 90% rubbing alcohol.
180000 :) some people just really want to make sure they don't mess something as stupid as this up. its like confirming a kill or using the calculator for simple math
Do you get the thing that applies it with all Rim Tape?

Can you apply it without that plastic thing?

That's from poor prep unless the tape you used is old.
It may not be so informative for you, however many others find this helpful.

I use razor blades to chop up my opana into a very fine powder. Mmmmmmm
Lol, that was good!
U made it look easy. I could do that I think.
RAZOR BLADE! NO. Wood or plastic scraper only. Seriously.
Bleh
Bro, it's a lot easier just to leave the tape on the ground.

You should've lifted up the starting end a little and cut where it starts being straight. It would damn near perfect.
lavoro di 💩....il nastro storto , va un po staccato e tagliato , poi continui con il nastro nell'applicatatore , fino a coprirlo
When I applicate it....LOL --Gold!!
Good quality video man. Mine didn't come with that applicator and had to manually guide it by hand. It took me twice as long to finish it.

Nice video man, would this work for a mountain bike? and how does the tape bend to the curve? I mean is the tape stretchable?
looks good, and you made it look easy. mine was all crapped up and pain in ass to remove what i already put on since i stopped short
Tried this using the FX tape applicator and it was pretty much impossible!
What happened to " if the tape gets messed up, just pull it back and fix it"? Shotty work....
the applicator will not fit on your rim, but the tape should work fine.
