Liberalism is the ideology that based on the liberty , autonomy . State is the factor here but not the main factor . Mncs , international object played important role in that . Freedom of market there and want individual freedom but cooperation also for the interest of the people .

Hence, he is considered as grand father of modern liberalism.

Second, the spirit behind colonization was enlightenment and liberal spirit of property rights, capitalism, free market, trading, dominance of science, reason, etc. Liberalism faced moral dilemma in colonization; they solved by taking high moral ground- civilization mission; European had the bounden duty to civilize their poor brethren of 3rd world by colonization!
