Hello everyone, this is the sidewalk that I have found the scariest ever because it is so full of trash and overgrown with weeds and people throw a lot of bottles there, they throw stones, bricks, and concrete in all kinds of ways. It's just like a landfill, I don't understand where everyone's consciousness is, it's so sad

差し入れを持ってきてくれた女性はその場所の汚さが気になっていたのかな？

you uncovered a street drain!!! impressive find...I don't think those people should be allowed to leave their junk/trash on the sidewalks...your community/village needs to charge fee for this clutter.....and made to keep their storefronts clean.
But they are not aware of this so they just throw it haphazardly on the sidewalk 🥲

Aren't there laws there about putting obstructions on the public sidewalk? It's a health and safety violation. The city gov't should give these people 90 days to remove their property. If they haven't, the city govt should haul everything off and make the violator pay for the labor, the hauling, and disposal fees on top of a fine for breaking the law. I bet the sidewalks would get cleaned immediately. If not, it's a good way for the city to create revenue. Part of the gov't's responsibility is to create and maintain infrastructure which includes roads and sidewalks.
The other problem with all the rubbish on the sidewalks is that it ends up in the gutters, blocking the drains. During the rainy season it is very important for the drains to be clear. If not, roads become rivers creating dangerous situations for buildings, vehicles and pedestrians. If the people cannot walk on the sidewalks they'll go into the roads which can be extremely dangerous, if not outright deadly.
The people volunteering to clean up do a great service for the community. They do their part to improve the living conditions of all people in the city. I would like to see them recognized for their philanthropy and given awards as well as cash prizes to buy new equipment to continue. They deserve it!🤗🎖⚘
Maybe they can be supplied with trees, plants and flowers to plant after their clean ups are done, beautifying the city. These are just my ideas and ponderings. What do you think?
