Wishing you well with the Chemo. The best thing they had in the center I visited was the bell people rang when they finished the last treatment. When it rang everyone perked up, clapped and cheered. A nearly constant reminder on every trip that you can beat it.
Love it. Am so glad i found this. The girls behind the singer and musicians were truly enjoying it. Clapping their hands in the air, singing along. People smiling. This is what we want to see. It would have been splendid if some of them danced as well.
I'm a bassist, amongst other instruments, and lost one of my best friends who was a drummer to cancer a number of years ago. The smile and look they give eachother at 00:57 ish when the bodhran player gets carried away and changes time for a bar gets me every time. I come back here and watch it from time to time just for that moment. Musicians have a connection when they play together that's special.
They both looked at each other but not at the same moment and each caught the others glance even though they didn't see it directly.love it. Drummer smiled "see what I did?".
Thank you for sharing that. Watched this many times and never picked up on what you mentioned. Sometimes we all need to be made aware of the beauty in front of us.
I am about to show this clip to my pupils tomorrow so they can learn, enjoy and watch more about plucked instruments from all over the world! Thanks for this amazing clip and these wonderful musicians!
American here. I dunno know why but I'm captivated by this video. The purity and simplicity of the music. People participating. Authentic music with common culture- not the type of music that has people wagging fingers, bobbing heads and getting angry and violent. People's eyes are clear - not desperate. Just feels and smells different. I love my America - but I feel in some ways, we've gone astray and its getting worse. I've watched this clip daily for a week now.
I watch this video at least 20 times every time I watch it puts a big smile on my face and warms my heart. We need more of this in American airports or just in America.❤
God loved the Irish people so much that he filled them so full of music they just can't hold it in sometimes! What an awesome video, what great music, what good fun! Thank you!
Just joined musicians, clapping and enjoying the music. Most people enjoying the moment rather than taking video to post on social media. So genuine people, hard to see now days. 👏❤
A wonderful gesture made to people waiting for a flight.Galway girl is a beatiful song. This is best interpretaion of these song.A lot of greatings from people of Serbia🇮🇪🇷🇸🍀🍀🍀
First time id ever heard this song, watching this vid. So it will be my definitive version. I've watched a few more versions from various people/bands performing it on TH-cam, but they don't move me at all. This version is the purest, rawest, and most honest i've seen.
This might be the greatest song ever. Gaelic melodies are the greatest on Earth. The Celts are the most musical people on Earth and have the best music. They totally deserve respect for that, and their music needs to not die out.
I had to actually look this up. I'm seeing this name in this context more and more often and I have no clue where it started lol. I know at least two people named "Karen" who were very nice people so I was confused! lol Now i feel sorry for them that they are named that, even though they are older than whatever happened to spark this use of the name. o.o
@@adiarainfoster I know, right? Why is this such a big thing!? I’m ok with making jokes about those kinds of people, but just find a word and call them that, like Towel Dispensers
Only sad thing is, that nobody filmed that group of girls in the background. They were so enthusiastic and looked beautifull, even from that distance.😀🥰
Life is just a great ceilid... in every place and moment..so..tell me the next time when a fly will be delayed and l'll joint you with my whistles....long live lreland and Irish people.🍻🍻🍻🍻slainte
Positive: Places and moments like this exist. People vibing in public, swords down, no sniping, just pure joy and togetherness. Negatives: Not in America.
I put this question to all my irish brothers and sisters out there..please tell me the name of the song ? This performer and band are great and would love to follow. Thanks
The song is called The Galway Girl originally recorded by Sharon Shannon, written by Stephen Earle. The guy singing is Daoirí Farrell. Not sure what the band he's with are called there.
@@therise7760 @andrewvitale2556 It was initially written and recorded by Steve Earle on his amazing album "Transcendental Blues" in 2000. Sharon Shannon had a big hit with it 8 years later, with Mundy singing the lyrics.
I love it. I come back every once Ina a while and play it over and over... The problem is I don't know the name of the song 😔... So if anyone knows please gimme a name. Enjoy
ever since i discovered this clip, I've been coming back from time to time just to get a bit of positivity.

Coming back here the night before I find out when I have to start chemotherapy. This is good for the soul.

Good luck thoughts and prayers!
Swift healing to you

Well, it's a Steve Earle song, so..

Real music with no extras that everyone can and does sing along too and tap there feet, absolutely brilliant 👍
Airport operators should take notice. They could have such entertainment "on-call" for delays.
God loved the Irish people so much that he filled them so full of music they just can't hold it in sometimes! What an awesome video, what great music, what good fun! Thank you!
I have to come back here every once and a while to remind myself that there is possitivity to be found, even in the shittiest of situations.
Amen to that.
Absolutely

My favorite is still Celtic Thunder when they sang Galway girl. But this one is good too.
This might be the greatest song ever. Gaelic melodies are the greatest on Earth. The Celts are the most musical people on Earth and have the best music. They totally deserve respect for that, and their music needs to not die out.
It was written by an American Country singer, Steve Earle
Absolutely incredible. I wish i could be so.lucky to see something like this.
These men should travel the world & give concerts! GREAT music there!!
That was world class just amazing.
As often as I have seen this (countless) I wish I had been there ... tears of joys, for sure.
I absolutely love the music of Daoirí Farrell. Him and his band are amazing
This is the best the internet has to offer.
That's incredible. Bravo, I'd be thrilled to experience such strong feelings on my travel.
Im usually so annoyed in the flight waiting area by people but this looked like it was a blast.
2021.... oh for the long forgotten joy of flight delays. Wish I was stuck at the airport. Be a great day out!
What a shite day’ve I had today, but after hearing this, I feel good again. Thank you
It's 3 years later but I hope your day is good today my friend.
This clip shows the Irish are the most entertaining ppl ever if this was America they would all be in handcuffs in a no fly list
you have to keep coming back to watch this, Brilliant👍
I would have LOVED to be there !!!!!!!!!!!
I Say that every time I see this.
I''ve always said, if I wasn't Swedish I'd be Irish. Looks like a lot of fun! I'd love to visit Dublin again. Beautiful and amazing city and country.

I've been delayed many times and never had anybody bust out into song like this! That's awesome!
Hold over at the airport plus a free show. Not that bad of a thing to happen. I love it.
When I am sad I watch this and I am filled with joy!
This pub looks suspiciously like an airport
Stealing comments? You unoriginal POS

Wanna do that with my big band/ brass band when we are allowed to tour again :)

Immediately after the song finished, a fight broke out.

Irish stuck at the airport: "I wanna jam"
Beautiful.
