Eivind is an innovator,and his works are moving and descriptive. Is time to recognise the level of progression and exploration of this fantastic guitarrist.
Really powerfull job. Risky, innovative and absolutely incredible. The concept of "traditional" jazz (rhythmic base, theoretical instrumental improvisation and a melodic "come and go") taken to the extreme. Also with shades of the best of progressive rock of the 70s. In my opinion, a true marvel. And for the record, I've been listening music for the last 50 years.
Great album, stunning work -- no surprises there other than why are these amazing musicians not better known. Eivind Aarset is an artist whose work I will buy unheard, with every opportunity.
