Tiny Little Plant 🌱 - read by author Madeline Derby McKee

This book, written at the behest of my 14yr old son Henry, arrived in published version at out home, only 3 days before Henry died of a catastrophic cardiac arrest.
I repeat - as that’s a lot to take in:
My son Henry, who urged me to write and publish this book about choosing plant medicine over pharmaceuticals for my new autoimmune condition, died spontaneously only three days after it was published.
I would NOT have written this book without his request.
He needed to make sense of why I was Consciously choosing a plant medicine that my sobriety group condemned, his school’s health program condemned, and many thought was delusional at best.
Not only did Henry believe in the merits of plant medicine, but he served as a strong supporter in my following through with the writing, illustration, and publication of my first book.
Tomorrow would be (right?) Henry’s 20th birthday, were he still alive. He was born with global delay (cognitive and physical) which fell under the term Noonan’s Syndrome. That said, he had an emotional capacity/intelligence that far outweighed most adults.
I was gifted this little man for 14 1/2 years - he chose Me, he chose US.
