    PS I should have added I loved driving them! However the solid chassis was a problem. 2 outriggers carried the rear springs and these were very prone to rust and need checking.

    that used to my grandads car but it was a beast. and we did everything to make the car brand new 😊

    The arm rests on the front doors are fitted incorrectly. They are back to front. The 2267cc four cylinder motor on these models, dervived from the Hillman 14 of the 1930's, is a very reliable motor fitted with Duralumin con rods. With an eye to detail and tuning, the speedometer needle can easily be made to bounce off the stop pin at 100 mph; Not that you would want to do that. the legal limit can be maintained in fourth overdrive at under 3000 rpm.
