This night they also had to do qualifying for the late models and modifieds after it rained on Wednesday. They did the best they could on a very busy night. Thursday and Saturday the track was awesome.

Track was absolutely fantastic on Thursday and Saturday, they just had a ton of stuff on Friday because second round qualifying for the late models and modifieds got rained out. If you choose not to go it just leaves seats open for people who do actually enjoy it and won’t whine about the dust- it IS a dirt track FYI.

They kept working the track throughout the night but one can only be so successful once they start. The racing itself was top notch. The next night they watered the daylights out of the track and it ended up being a great surface. It’s also a new track prep team, and i suspect it was a bit of a learning experience.
All the drivers and fans know the rules. Personally I say the top 12 in points should be inverted every night if they make the invert. If not, they start 13 on back but I don't own the show.

@@cdmit27 Over the last 10 years the dust has been way better at about every Texas track. I always prepare for it. And if I didn't want dust, I'll go to a Nascar race. Lone Star used to be the worst.

@@DerekWise-nc5pg you judge the track on ONE race- pretty unenlightened thinking. The racing the other two nights was excellent and this had some awesome battles throughout the field. I’ve seen plenty of PA races that had little to no passing and a pole sitter win.
The facility there is incredible but that surface is god awful. There has to be a better place to hold the season championships at. Even if it means not having all 3 in one because the track can't hold enough people. I'd love to see it at Port Royal about 3 weeks earlier in the year.
Gravel showed his ass while he was there. He never was focused and only cared about his nascar gig that failed tremendously. Him being a terrible teammate to PPM in 2020 put it over the edge.
@@chuckg6039 Brad had a less than stellar season, only winning the HL title because of a lack of challengers. David had a season that more than outdueled Brad. DAVID was the best this year.
@ running a new series had nothing to do with on track performance. He and his team weren’t as overall strong this year as they had been- a somewhat down year for them. David was hot out of the box and stayed that way. With how Brad overall performed this year he’d have been lucky to get second in points over Macedo- who was also seriously strong all year.
@@midnight-2021 I think they issue is they are running modifieds, late models, and sprints. Hard to keep the track from drying out after all those races.

Well, I'll take that back, my 2 friends (male & female) went for the Friday show and said they would never be back Hey, I told them before they went. They ended up coming to Grayson County to watch junkers with us for that Saturday.

@beavervalleyupdatesmore740 It didn't look like Macri was very happy with Wagner with their contact. X didn't show the beginning of the contact so I can't tell what really happened. But Macri was pissed about the contact is what I saw from the X highlight of the heat. These two have their history as we saw a few years ago at Port Royal Speedway.
@@midnight-2021 Wagner started to get sideways and Anthony ended up climbing over him. CJ Leary came in and finished the job. Macri ended up with a toasted car, had to run the backup the next day.
Not a Gravel fan but the changing of the guard was coming. It's not like Sweet ran away with anything the last few years. I'm pretty sure that Gravel had the points lead most of last year. Macedo was right there too.
Sweet would of made it six in a row no doubt because look he went to high limit race with way better drivers all year long and he still packed up another national 410 sprint car championship, so yea if brad was till with the outlaws David would of never won because if he was better then sweet then he would of had beat the best for the championship when brad was there but he never did that is why Brad won 5 in a row before leaving. Heeft because no one for 5 years straight could knock him down and they still can't knock him down in the high limit series now. Just saying what I seen this last 6 years is brad be championship with 2 different national 410 sprint car championships.

They had a bunch of extra stuff on the card because second round qualifying got rained out. The track was fantastic on Thursday and Saturday.
I've got nothing against sitting at a dirt trac.Watching under dusty conditions. But damn! That looked brutal.
This doesn’t really happen here, so I’m not going to hold it against them. However it was pretty bad.

I've been to worse races. Down here in Texas the heat can make the water truck look like a dripping faucet.
