Westbound Drivethrough

After Labor Day 2009, vehicles will travel on a short detour connecting the East Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge to the Yerba Buena Island tunnel. The detour is necessary to allow crews to demolish a section of the original bridge in the path of the new East Span. This computer simulation shows how westbound traffic will flow on the detour.
