This topic was chosen by a majority of you in the survey I made in January. Stay tuned for the next one, that I will post in an upcoming video and on Facebook.
Jerjer B the surveys are announced in my videos (I put "survey" in the title), and future ones will also be on facebook: facebook.com/thefrenchwhispererASMR. The thing on Patreon is for my patrons to pick topics from my list of topics, but this is another thing.
You've combined my two favorite things: ASMR and information. Thank you SO much. I'm having a really rough night, and this is everything. I don't know if you've already done videos on on quantum wave theory (or quantum physics in general), or evolution, or the Big Bang theory, or Hawking radiation, or dark energy, or dark matter; but these topics would make this girl tingle for days. Thanks again, for taking the time to make these videos and share your incredible voice and plethora of knowledge.
I know you wrote this 5 years ago but your love for this guy’s channel is the same love I feel. I can’t get over this - and I needed this in my life. I love knowledge, and I’ve been so stressed lately. This is so peaceful and it’s mentally engaging enough to make me forget about my problems
You should be teacher, your videos are truly heavenly, whether they are in french or in English, you're the only one on the net who introduces us to scientific or historical subjects in the manner of ASMR and I think it must be tough to record several times the same video in different languages so I applaud you for making your content accessible to everyone. Thank you a lot for your soothing voice and your clarity in explaining things, this is the fourth time in a row that I fall into sleep to this video, I think it's a new record. (Also you help me learn English by the way which comes in handy since it's the core of my studies)
That was really interesting ! I m looking forward to watching the French version too. Now I feel relaxed and rich of the knowledge you gave to us. Greetings from Paris.
your educational videos are too well made to work as an ASMR sleep aid for me. I have gone over to listen to them over the course of a day to calm me down and to gain on some (of your) general knowledge instead. You must be quite an impressive man to come by, thank you for sharing your knowledge with others.
Thanks for making your videos. I have trouble listening to most whisper videos on TH-cam because their content is so shallow. You actually make an effort and choose interesting topics with fascinating facts. Please keep making them!
You are definetly one of my faves! Your videos are always interesting and i usually fall asleep to them if I listen to them in bed. And thats not all, I also learn a great deal from them!
I don't know why I was so dissuaded from your videos at first. I feel bad about it, because now when I'm at work (I'm a handyman), I listen to your history series, and it keeps me at a perfect pace in a great frame of mind. So, thank you for these, and your other videos. ^_^
Truly excellent. It's quite refreshing to find an ASMR channel that talks about interesting things like history and science. Also, have you thought of covering the history of the Slavs?
I have watched so many Videos about black holes because I really wanted to understand them. But this is the first video that actually made me understand black holes :D Thank you! And it Is even relaxing as well👍😄
Wow, so glad I found your channel! This vid came up on my TH-cam page, and of course black holes have always interested me. I clicked on it, not realising this is also an ASMR vid! I was very happy, as I make ASMR vids myself. Then I had a quick look at your video library...you have a new sub :) Suffice to say, I will be very busy over the next few weeks watching and learning. Your voice is very soothing, and so much great content in an easy to understand format, Looking forward to all that you bring to us!
Wonderful video! Incredibly soothing and I learned quite a bit too! I couldn't ask for anything better than that. Watching and listening to your videos is always time well spent. Thank you!
stupidusername84 thank you. Einstein is on my list of topics for this year. I cannot tell exactly when because I now let my supporters on Patreon determine the priority list, but I will definetely do it at some point.
Please make a video where you talk about Einsten's work or quantom physics for dummies! :o or just simple physics... This video was so helpful to me really, even though I almost fell asleep because of your so relaxing voice...
I've been interested in black holes and the physical forces that control them since at least my junior year in high school so I found this video particularly stimulating. The powers Mankind can grasp through accumulated knowledge is awesome.
I Love this video so much. 🙏 Thank You. I was wondering if maybe one day you could do a video on the 4th dimension and the holographic universe? Or maybe Dark Matter? I absolutely Love Love Love your Science Videos and Your voice in general. Thank You so much for all that you do! 👌😊
merci meme si c'est de l'asmr ca m'aide enormement a mieux comprendre l'anglais je suis tres fort pour un gars de 15 ans mais niveau accent je gere pas trop merci
It just hit me; scientists say that the fifth dimension is curled up at the Planck length; that is to say, between two Planck frames lies the probability space that leads to the fifth dimension. What if the curvature of space-time inside the black hole actually results in particles traveling from dimension to dimension? I'm not talking about wormholes here, I know the difference, but what if it just jumps from probability space to another within the same black hole in our universe? It bears a lot of development and further elaboration, but we may actually find a segue into travelling into different realities within the same universe. Maybe even, if we go a few dimensions up, we can actually accomplish time travel and gain access to visit several multiverses.
Okay WhyNot How long do you think it would be before we could comprehend something like a fifth dimension with our primitive human senses? I'm young and not very learned, but I'd love to get my hands on some information about this. You seem quite knowledgeable on the subject and I'd rather not wade through the web to find all of the aforementioned information.
neil degrasse tyson touched on this. he said its possible that the black holes we see could be entrances entire universes as big as ours. he said everything weve ever seen or will see could be a small little black hole inside of a solar system in another dimension. the possibilities are endless until you do the math
In my sleep sometimes i am able to 'Astralproject' (never been too far as I panic and wake up). If you were a accomplished 'astral traveller' I wonder if you would be trapped by a black hole. That's a scary thought for me.
Vas a llegar lejos :)
Concerning gravitation, technically everything that exists exerts some sort of gravitational force on everything around it, but it's so small of a difference that it can barely be measured... Weight is a gravitational construct rather than one that has to do with matter, in which case, even in space, if you were in some sort of spaceship, wouldn't you technically have a microscopic amount of weight due to the ship pulling you towards it and vice versa?
Yea but not really, the gravitational force of the spaceship would be pulling you towards it's center, but since your are already inside the ship itself the force would be almost non existent as they are (almost) balanced. However if you were outside the ship the force would be greater (although still incredibly minute)
i love the idea of black holes. nothing cant exist, thus why life is infinite and endless... but black holes, despite all odds, are the only space where nothing DOES EXIST. isnt that nuts?? a space where NOTHING.. EXISTS.. DO U GET ME???? everything is, except the space in which a black hole takes up! this is where there is absolutely nothing! thats just so crazy! its the yang to the ying that is existence of matter.
I have what might be considered a 'dumb' question: If no known forms of matter or energy are able to escape once they have passed the event horizon, why are illustrations of black holes often shown emitting polar 'geysers' ? Could these geysers actually be a characteristic of an a stellar collapse that is still in progress; one that has yet to reach the critical mass required to create a black hole? Could the formation of other stellar oddities such as quasars, gamma-ray bursts and magnetars merely be steps in the sequence of events that ultimately creates black holes?
Hmmm... I had forgotten about evaporating black holes and Hawking radiation. It's entirely possible that any energy 'released' by a black hole is due to something very weird happening on the quantum level whenever fresh matter/energy reaches the event horizon. Probably something like the Doppler effect distorting the energy signature of matter as it falls into the abyss, I guess. Whatever the case, I'm definitely well beyond my safe depth on this subject. :)
ok, there are two parts of the event horizon: the outer horizon, and the inner horizon. the inner horizon, also known as the schwarzchild radius, is the true point of no return. the outer horizon is the area where the escape velocity is equal to the speed of light. the polar jets result when the black hole is sucking in more matter than it can accrue and shoots the excess matter out along its poles.
Ir0nF1st924 That sounds entirely reasonable to me. I feel that I should know rather more about this subject than I actually do, although it is pretty far outside my current sphere of expertise. Shouldn't feel too bad, though... To the best of my knowledge, most electrical switchboards don't have the ability to swallow entire solar systems. :)
william Houlihan I talked about it at the end of the video if I remember well. This is quite simple: the event horizon is the limit after which even the fastest particles (light) have come too close from the core of the black hole and can no longer escape its gravitational force. It is a bit like a point of no-return.

Bugzapper I am not able to answer your question, but there is one thing that escapes black holes according to quantum physics: the Hawking radiation.
Hmmm... I had forgotten about evaporating black holes and Hawking radiation.
