The sweeping motion is more of a planishing motion, I think. With a slapper you can take a ton of lumps and bumps out with that motion. I think as far as hammering goes, so far as blacksmithing goes, there are two schools of thought. 1) Choke up on a bigger hammer for more control. 2) Grip the end of a smaller hammer to put more force into a swing. When I forge, I choke up, but I use a 4# hammer normally and body work I grip the end of the handle. Nice video !!!!
