Hey, the Phonk music you know of is garbage. There's actual real Phonk that is actually good. From what I can tell, there's 3 subgenres of Phonk, they don't really have names but the original Phonk music is just classic Memphis rap. Tommy Wright III, Gangsta Pat, etc. Really really good shit. Then there's another type of Phonk that I actually really enjoy, its Memphis inspired 'white boy' rappers like Apoc Krysis, Cursed, SPYDER550, Dj Smokey, etc. Then you have the godawful tiktok Phonk that most people are familiar with just because of sheer exposure. It's fucking awful and I agree.
