It's in order for President Nana Akuffu-Addo to name the Kumasi International Airport after Osei Agyeman Prempeh I because of the sacrifice he made for the building of Asanteman. For starters, Prempeh I allowed himself to be captured by the British and deported first to Sierra Leone and then the Island of Seychelles to spare the lives of his subjects. So, the British never defeated Asanteman on the battlefield, but rather through a negotiated settlement. KUDOS to Prempeh I for his leadership skills and sacrifice for the building of Asanteman.
