    Scuba diving navy years off the Oregon Coast. Just put a long strip of velcro in your kit, and secure a big rip in the ripped suite that way. Oddly enough it works pretty well until you can repair it. 😉

    Eluvial gold is gold that hasn’t entered running water such as a river or stream, as soon as it does it becomes alluvial. It has been moved by nature, just not by a river.

    I miss the snow was raised in the mountains but now working in the desert snow is so peaceful and quiet when it’s coming down.
    So I’m guessing there was a huge fire back in the day and then a couple of monster floods that’s where our black clay comes from and that gold definitely hasn’t traveled far from the source so find the areas with the biggest trees and check for burn scars and you’ll find the burn area and possibly the source. This fire would have been hundreds of years ago the other way would to be to track the gold upstream untill it’s gone and up one side or the other the source will be found. I’m sure the old timers did the same thing so you might find their mine. It could take months or years but a deposit of that type of gold is worth it. I’m wondering how the old timers got away with out having to pay the crown for the gold they found. Cheaper miners rights back then? Great adventure with awesome snow scenes and very cool gold thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼

    Get yourself an ultrasonic cleaner to clean your gold. I use it to clean mine. Any bits of gold that fall off are trapped in it so it's never lost. Even though the plug in the sink does well.

    Cool vid as usual mate, but something I don't understand is why people still use 'techniques' to separate the gold from sand when you're down to like a 50/50 mix like at 21:25. Wouldn't you just pluck the gold out with some tweezers or put your finger on it and just sweep it to one side?

    • @officialtassieboysprospecting
      @officialtassieboysprospecting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this instance it would have made more sense to just pluck it out it would be extremely time consuming using that technique when the blacks and is fine sometimes there’s literally thousands of pieces but the light stuff blows away real easy

  • @janicecooper875
    @janicecooper875 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That video was just wonderful. The gold had a beautiful shape. Me, being a jeweller l can just imagine a gorgeous piece in it's natural form on the top of a ring and nestling in nicely with a few diamonds. It would be a completely natural and unique ring. My mind is going mad with creativity right now. Why bother shaving off the mo, it would have kept you warmer. Anyway, good luck, you deserve all you can get. Could you one day jump a plane and fly to Melbourne to sell your gold if you can't sell it in Tassy? Would that be allowable at all?

    • @Jake12220
      @Jake12220 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely no issues selling gold in Australia. Legally you require a permit (miners permit or fossicking licence depending on the state), but that permit gives you full ownership of anything you find and full rights to sell it.

    • @officialtassieboysprospecting
