    I'm curious as to the purpose of the cable running down the middle of the track between the rails.

      Signalling system. The Signaling authorities are transmitted over the wire to be picked up by a receiver under the train and the train transmits it's position back to the control centre. I believe it's the Thales Seltrac system.

    I’ve been at that station before I haven’t been there for like 3 years

    From Stratford to Canning Town the Jubilee line doubles DLR as express service, but from Baker Street to Wembley Park it doubles Metropolitan as local one. Seems not very reasonable.

    It sounds like the DART in Ireland.

    Every short distance in the tunnel, the light is blue. Do you know why?

      I can only speak for german legislation here, but I might guess that thats an EU-wide norm. The blue light marks emergency equipment like emergency exits, fire-phones or extingushiners.

    I have a question .....never person drives the train ????

    • @MatthewGeier
      @MatthewGeier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The trains are only manually driven if there is a problem with the system. Normally the train operation is entirely automatic.

    Nice ride, but what's up with the fish-eye effect on cameras nowadays? Can that be corrected?

      The Jubilee line. It and the DLR run parallel into Stratford more or less all the way from Canning Town where the Jubilee surfaces after crossing under the Thames.
