    I'm halfway through Yoga Teacher Training and this video was spot on. Anyone who is curious about attending yoga training, I say go for it. It was an incredible decision in my life, but there is a hurdle that I fought towards the first few months, I almost wanted to back out because I was afraid I wasn't going to be a strong enough yoga teacher, but I'm so glad I stuck with it and didn't give up. Once I was over that hurdle yoga really became so fulfilling for me and my life... And my yoga journey. 🙏🏻

    Love this! I did a teacher training and it changed my life, wasn’t super experienced before the training and ended up teaching a little before. Best part was the people I met in the training and change I saw within myself.
    Thanks for this vid ;)

    Thanks you that was a nice advice vid u made there. I'm just starting to embrace yoga, I used to be a National champion sprinter from Ireland n worked as a fitness instructor. I taught myself how to teach a Physioball class and Functional Movements conditioning classes n now have 15 completed different routines developed n not even realising how much yoga and pilates was actually involved in these classes. But I'm putting my head down to totally understand yoga and hope me n my girlfriend who is doing a yoga course can get some classes up and running to help people from all aspects of live to help improve their health n fitness n over all wellbeing thru these classes. Fingers crossed now!!!

    Caitlin, I totally agree with your values and your concepts! I use a similar structure when I coach my students to become certified Pilates teachers and run their own businesses. The formula I teach creates transformations over and over again. My clients come to be because they have had enough of overwhelm, not happy working for someone else, not managing to get by and living paycheck to paycheck. I offer them the possibility to gain a new skill in helping others, which not only gives them personal satisfaction but offers them a very healthy and profitable lifestyle. I'm loving what I do and I thank all my teachers for the skills I can pass on to these people! Sending you love and light!!!

      Veggie Bee this is going to be dependent on the program you take. The requirements just changed too for Yoga Alliance certified trainings, so you should look up their guidelines to get a better idea!

    • @CaitlinShoemaker
      @CaitlinShoemaker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Alex is right - the requirements did change so now all 200 hours have to be in the classroom I believe. We were required to take 40 hours of yoga classes outside of our training and I probably studied an additional 5-7 hours each week. It really depends on the training/your retention level though!

    I’m sorry but this is why so many yoga teachers are not very good. The bar is set so low for entry. In martial arts for example the idea of becoming a teacher before obtaining something like a black belt or a certain equivalent level of certification. People should have to have a certain level of skill and proficiency but the studios want their money so it’s churn em through and all of a sudden there are thousands of “certified” teachers. As if 200 hours is enough to become a teacher of anything.

    please take this nonsense down. Yoga is not some practice you can just take a 200 hour class on and turn it into some cool side hustle or youtube channel. It takes years and years and studying and practice. I hate what yoga has turned into today, some trendy hobby for white women to appropriate and capitalize on. If you're truly sincere about yoga, learn it the RIGHT way. #DECOLONIZEYOGA
