    I agree with you Muni86. FPV helis are the "King class" when compared to multicopters. Theres nothing like hovering inverted next to a massive machine like those wind turbines! Especially with the wind you had flying that 450-sized heli! Great job Muni86! - Rob

    The Nowy Tomyśl Wind Turbines are the tallest wind turbines in the world.[1] They are situated in Paproc, a suburb of Nowy Tomyśl in Poland and were erected in 2012. Each of these two wind turbines has a generating capacity of 2500 kW. The basement of each of these turbines weighs 1500 tons, the tower 350 tons and the gondola 100 tons.

    With state of the art power electronics the conversion is quite efficient. AC-DC-AC conversion is also used to link powergrids. So I think they have got that sorted. And don't forget: wind is pretty much free.

      +Steve Savage There are under 450 nuclear plants on the planet, producing far more energy per site than the 250,000+ wind turbines that currently litter the landscape, with scary numbers of new ones planned. How often do you actually see nuclear power plants unless you happen to live near one? Wind turbines are a source of visual pollution in too many locations. They are called mechanical weeds for good reason. People who excuse them make smarmy, short comments and ignore the whole picture. You can call them "beautiful" for as long as you want but it's not a taste that nature-advocates will ever acquire. There are just too many of the damned things all over the place.

    • @whitepeoplebefuckingup4158

    • @mtlracing1567
      @mtlracing1567 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think some of them look cool but I know that they are a bit rubbish for producing reliable power. nuclear is the way to go (preferably fusion if they ever work out how it works)

    • @Tatusiek_1

    This is an Enercon wind turbine. They don't use neodymium, they use lots of copper. That's why their generators are so very large, i believe the generator for the E-126 alone weighs ~100 tons, much of it copper. It's also the reason for the egg shaped housing.

    Sticking with the build out of wind in Austria and Bavaria, Germany. Applictions for 4.500 small (3 kWh) to large 7.5 megawatt) installations were submitted in neighboring Bavaria, Germany in the first half of 2013. Among them Munich´s next wind park project will have big Enercons like this in the forested areas along the 7 autobahns- and "beltway" systems around town- adding another 225 MW. Great video. Contact Siemens for jobs showing North Sea Instllations like this.

    Super Video! Many Thanks!
    But, please, correct your information about cranes on video.
    Large crawler crane is not CC9100-1, but CC9800!
    Also, you wrote that max. lifting capacity of yellow crane (CC2800) is 600t,
    while for much more powerful second crane (CC9800) only 375t!
    375t is real lifting capacity for currect crane configuration (with long boom).
    Maximal lifting cap. for CC9800 is of 1600t!
    On the other hand, maximal lifting capacity for CC2800-1 in current configuration
    is about of 100t!

    i don't get why people think these are so ugly. they're sexy compared to just about every other power station, i can say that for sure

    • @andromedawins9849
      @andromedawins9849 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      EerieBetrayal exactly the worst looking are the coal, they look dirty with vapors the size of the football team and as much toxic, wind turbins are clean and beautiful u can live next to it with no danger unless it collapses for some reason but it shouldnt

    • @geot4647
      @geot4647 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +EerieBetrayal They are much taller and more numerous than regular power plants. You people keep making false comparisons and ignore the context of their installation. Why don't you care about all the lost landscapes? Do you live in a city skyscraper canyon where you've been programmed to think tall, man-made structures are part of nature?

    • @geot4647
      @geot4647 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andromeda Wins I bet you don't live anywhere near a wind turbine. They are far more visible in the countryside than coal plants or mines for most people. Why lie about what they're really doing to the landscape? This 650 foot beast is probably visible from 50 miles or more. I am not a climate denier but these represent an equal tragedy.

    • @EerieBetrayal
      @EerieBetrayal 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      i live in the suburbs, not a big city. they could put these up along the hills near where i am and i'm sure the cattle would cope fine. is your only argument the fact that you don't like the look of them? i fuckin hate the big orange/brown cloud that i can see on the landscape when i look towards all the industrial areas around the place but we need that shit there. i don't care what the building look like, if they could produce their products without creating shit house dirty air for kilometers around them i'd be right on board. i don't give a fuck what it looks like as long as it's a cleaner solution. flying over NSW, in one area it's a nice beautiful green colour, with little insignificant white dotted lines that are the so called "ugly" wind turbines, then you look a few kilometers to the side and there's a massive area that's all brown dirt, and full of mines, which looks fucking disgusting compared to the lovely green fields with shiney white poles on em, yet no cunt cries about that. seriously, mate, if your only problem is what they look like, you're no better than the "city people" that you seem to think i am. as for the noise, try living near a highway or in a city where the sound is erratic and constantly changing volume. we can't all come and live in the country, you'd have an even worse landscape if we did

    • @EerieBetrayal
      @EerieBetrayal 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      i grew up on acreage in the sticks, outside of town, i wouldn't have cared if there were wind turbines around there when i was living there

    I suppose it depends on how you calculate "Biggest". The Danish V-164 offshore turbine has a lower Hub height, 105 Metres, but a greater Rotor size, 164 Metres, giving it a total height of 187 Metres from Sea level to maximum blade tip height. It generates slightly less at 7 MW unfortunately.
    This is the first time I've ever asked this. What's the music? It sounds pretty damn cool.
